Fr: Un jour printanier à Paris, Julien, un touriste de province, avait décidé de visiter le Louvre.
En: On a spring day in Paris, Julien, a tourist from the countryside, had decided to visit the Louvre.

Fr: Le Louvre, grand palais de pierre et de marbre, était un joyau de beauté dans la ville lumière.
En: The Louvre, a grand palace of stone and marble, was a jewel of beauty in the City of Light.

Fr: La multitude de peintures et de sculptures lui donnaient l'air d'un véritable labyrinthe.
En: The multitude of paintings and sculptures made it look like a true maze.

Fr: Julien s'y perdait tout le temps.
En: Julien was constantly getting lost there.

Fr: Errant sans but, Julien tomba par hasard sur une statue qui lui parut plutôt inhabituelle.
En: Wandering aimlessly, Julien stumbled upon a statue that seemed rather unusual.

Fr: Vêtue d'un jean et d'un t-shirt, la "statue" portait des baskets rouges très vives.
En: Dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, the "statue" was wearing very bright red sneakers.

Fr: Le plus étrange était que cette "statue" portait aussi un sac à dos.
En: What was even stranger was that this "statue" also had a backpack.

Fr: "Quelle œuvre d'art moderne intrigante !
En: "What an intriguing modern work of art!"

Fr: ", Julien s'exclama.
En: Julien exclaimed.

Fr: Il en sortit son appareil photo.
En: He took out his camera.

Fr: Click !

Fr: Il prit de nombreuses photos sous différents angles.
En: He took numerous photos from different angles.

Fr: Les autres touristes l'imitaient en riant, pensant qu'ils avaient découvert une nouvelle œuvre d'art ésotérique.
En: The other tourists imitated him, laughing, thinking they had discovered a new esoteric work of art.

Fr: Soudain, la "statue" bougea !
En: Suddenly, the "statue" moved!

Fr: Le cœur de Julien manqua un battement.
En: Julien's heart skipped a beat.

Fr: La "statue" se retourna et dit : "Pourquoi me prenez-vous en photo ?
En: The "statue" turned around and said, "Why are you taking photos of me?

Fr: Je ne suis pas une œuvre d'art.
En: I'm not a work of art."

Fr: " C'était une jeune femme appelée Camille.
En: It was a young woman named Camille.

Fr: Elle était en train de chercher le plan du musée dans son sac à dos.
En: She was looking for the museum map in her backpack.

Fr: Julien, rouge de honte, demanda pardon.
En: Julien, red with embarrassment, apologized.

Fr: La confusion était drôle.
En: The confusion was funny.

Fr: Tous les autres touristes rirent avec eux.
En: All the other tourists laughed along with them.

Fr: Julien et Camille décidèrent de continuer la visite ensemble.
