Story Transcript:

Uk: Дмитро та Оксана сиділи в поїзді з Києва до Одеси.
En: Dmytro and Oksana were sitting on the train from Kyieva to Odesy.

Uk: Вікна відкривали вид на зелені поля та безхмарне синє небо.
En: The windows opened up views of green fields and a clear blue sky.

Uk: Оксана раділа і повторювала: "Яке щастя бути разом біля моря!"
En: Oksana was delighted and kept repeating, "What a joy to be together by the sea!"

Uk: Дмитро ж, навпаки, був занурений у свій смартфон.
En: Dmytro, on the other hand, was engrossed in his smartphone.

Uk: Робота ніколи не залишала його у спокої.
En: Work never left him alone.

Uk: Після кількох годин у дорозі, вони нарешті прибули до Одеси.
En: After a few hours on the road, they finally arrived in Odesa.

Uk: Вони відразу відчули запах моря та чули голоси людей, які весело проводили час на пляжі.
En: They immediately felt the smell of the sea and heard the voices of people happily spending time on the beach.

Uk: Дорога від вокзалу зайняла кілька хвилин, і ось вони вже стояли на узбережжі Чорного моря.
En: The road from the station took only a few minutes, and soon they were standing on the shores of the Chornoho Sea.

Uk: "Давай залишимо речі і підемо на пляж," — запропонувала Оксана, намагаючись залучити Дмитра до відпочинку.
En: "Let's leave our things and go to the beach," suggested Oksana, trying to engage Dmytro in relaxation.

Uk: Пісок був теплим, а море тихо плескалося об берег.
En: The sand was warm, and the sea quietly lapped against the shore.

Uk: Діти будували замки з піску, а дорослі насолоджувалися спокоєм літнього дня.
En: Children were building sandcastles, and adults enjoyed the tranquility of the summer day.

Uk: Але телефон Дмитра не замовкав.
En: But Dmytro's phone wouldn't stop.

Uk: Оксана дивилася на Дмитра і, нарешті, сказала: "Тобі потрібно навчитися відпочивати. Це наш час, і я не хочу проводити його на самоті."
En: Oksana looked at Dmytro and finally said, "You need to learn to relax. This is our time, and I don't want to spend it alone."

Uk: Дмитро підняв очі від телефону.
En: Dmytro raised his eyes from the phone.

Uk: Він знав, що вона права, але не міг змусити себе відключитися від роботи.
En: He knew she was right but couldn't bring himself to disconnect from work.

Uk: І раптом... Ой, телефон вислизнув з рук і пірнув у воду.
En: And suddenly... Oh, his phone slipped out of his hands and dove into the water.

Uk: Дмитро був шокований, але Оксана лише усміхалася, бачачи в цьому можливість.
En: Dmytro was shocked, but Oksana just smiled, seeing an opportunity in this.

Uk: Без телефона, Дмитро відчув себе дивно.
En: Without the phone, Dmytro felt strangely free.
