Uk: Сині гори Карпат вкрилися сяйвом ранкового сонця.
En: The blue hory Karpat were covered in the glow of the morning sun.

Uk: Ліс ховався під білим покривалом, а кольорові хатинки хутсульського села, подекуди прикриті снігом, горнулися одна до одної.
En: The forest hid beneath a white blanket, and the colorful houses of the hutsuls'koho village, partially covered with snow, nestled close to one another.

Uk: В останні дні грудня селяни поспішали завершити приготування до Маланки.
En: In the last days of December, the villagers hurried to finish preparations for Malanky.

Uk: Це свято мало стати не лише новим роком, а й відзначенням традицій та культури.
En: This holiday was to be not just a new year but also a celebration of traditions and culture.

Uk: Посеред цього зимового сяйва йому на зустріч ішла Олена — молода й ентузіастично налаштована учасниця громади.

Uk: "Олено," мовив Андрій, коли вони зустрілися біля церкви, "тобі не подобаються мої ідеї?

Uk: ""Це не так, Андрію," відповіла вона.
En: "It's not like that, Andriy," she replied.

Uk: "Твої вироби чудові.
En: "Your crafts are wonderful.

Uk: Але це свято важливе для нас.
En: But this holiday is important to us.

Uk: Ми не повинні змінювати традицію занадто сильно.
En: We mustn't change the tradition too much."

Uk: "Погляд Андрія пом'якшав.
En: Pohlyad Andriya pomiakshav.

Uk: "Я теж люблю наші традиції," промовив він, "але, можливо, сучасність може підкреслити їх.
En: "I love our traditions too," he said, "but maybe modernity can highlight them."

Uk: "Вони довго розмовляли серед легкого падіння снігу.
En: They talked for a long time among the gently falling snow.

Uk: Шукали компроміс.
En: They searched for a compromise.
