  • Fix Long Covid with These Supplements

In the past few weeks there has been another round of a "bug" going around here in Idaho. I started to feel symptoms but hit it hard and knocked out whatever I caught within one day. In this short episode I give a crash course on what I believe to be the most important supplements to take when you feel like you are dealing with a viral infection.

I prioritize vitamin, mineral, and enzyme supplements before going to herbs, methylene blue, or antiparasitics. Vitamins and minerals are foundational and deficiencies are common. During an acute or long-term infection your burn rate of nutrients will be a lot higher so you must supplement accordingly.

I talk about the importance of taking copper if you're taking zinc, the exact biochemical mechanisms how ascorbic acid works to balance the system, the lipid peroxidation and viral connection, why vitamin E is an underrated supplement, why superoxide dismutase (SOD) is so important to support during long covid, how lithium has been a known anti viral since 1980, and why melatonin should be a crucial part of your antiviral medicine cabinet.

  • The Link Between Alpha Gal Syndrome and Glyphosate

You have heard of Lyme disease but have you heard of Alpha Gal Syndrome? It is another condition caused by a tick bite but the symptoms are arguably much worse - becoming allergic to red meat! Affecting over 450,000 Americans, not being able to eat red meat can cause a cascade of downstream effects due to nutrient deficiency.

In this episode ANP Dette Avalon, author of The Ultimate Guide to Alpha Gal Syndrome, explains what it is and the devastation it causes. While there is no one magic bullet for it that we know of yet, Dr Stephanie Seneff PhD joins us to make the link between Alpha Gal and glyphosate toxicity.

We talk about mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS) and its connection to alpha gal and glyphosate, the importance of a healthy microbiome, the impact of "cross reactive proteins", the benefits of sauerkraut, the mitochondria and deuterium link, the importance of vitamin D and cholesterol, and other solutions that they've found.

  • What Body Temperature and Pulse Says About Your Metabolism with Jayton Miller

Are you overwhelmed with all of the different views about nutrition on the internet? Are you scared of consuming sugar because of all of the propaganda? Are you short on cash and can't spend money on lots of functional medicine tests? If you answered yes to any of those then this is a great episode for you.

Jayton Miller shares the basics of how to create a healthy metabolism and how to assess the state of your metabolism using your body temperature and pulse readings. We talk about the importance of vitamin A and why its not a toxin, he shares why we should lower our polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) intake, why eating throughout the day is important, how to stop waking up in the middle of the night, the dangers of excessive estrogen, and much more.

  • Inside the CLF Protocol: Calcification

I created the CLF Protocol in 2019 based on nearly a decade of research about human health. Since then I have been refining it as I learn new information. The first letter stands for "calcification" and is the focus of this short lecture in a series that I will record breaking down every aspect of my protocol in detail.

In this episode I define normal and abnormal calcification, which vitamins and minerals affect it, the various hormones involved in calcium regulation, why calcium in the diet from dairy is so important, the nuanced relationship with vitamin D, describe different disease states that are a result of calcification, the major roles of magnesium and vitamin K2 (especially MK-7 form), and I answer a few questions including: Why does calcificaiton occur in response to tissue injury? Does fluoride toothpaste calcify our pineal gland?

Enjoy this deep dive into all things calcification and how to prevent and reverse it.

What test can show you exactly which stage of HPA axis dysfunction you're in?

Lulwa Alarmali, functional medicine pracitioner, talks about all of this and more including her favorite lab tests, how she interprets them, her thoughts on probiotic supplementation, and answers a few listener questions including: How to end long term severe insomnia? How to balance high testosterone with low free testosterone?

  • Methods of Reducing Chronic Stress with Dr Scott Sherr

With how unnaturally fast paced life is, social media notifications, neverending emails, letters in the mail to respond to, staying aware of all of the various toxins we're exposed to, dodging grifters online that just want to take your money and sell you their program, it is very easy to be chronically stressed.

Practices such as turning off your notifications, putting your phone in airplane mode when you are walking in the forest, keeping do not disturb on all the time, carving time out of your day to not stare at screens, are some common strategies to reduce stress.

In this episode Dr Scott Sherr returns to the show to talk about: why its not just about healing your trauma, the mitochondrial harm that occurs with chronic stress, the role of GABA, how methylene blue supplementation can help, his thoughts on alcohol and cannabis, carbon dioxide therapy, and more.

  • Your Sunburn Could be a Copper Deficiency

For several years I was focusing heavily on the relationship between copper and iron while neglecting and even demonizing zinc. Given that our body stores a much higher concentration of zinc than copper, that was not a wise approach. Over the years I have learned that even in the case of a copper deficiency, one should still supplement zinc in addition to copper, and the clinical research clearly proves this. It is very easy to get caught in the anti-supplement fear campaigns that big influencers spread and I have since repented for my sins in this regard.

In this episode I share my experience taking high dose zinc for the past few years and the copper deficiency symptoms I have noticed recently, specifically in relationship to ultraviolet light exposure from sunlight. On day one of supplementing copper again I noticed an increased resilience to sun exposure and less of a burning sensation being outside in the mid-day summer sun. I break down the science of different types of melanin, the exact biochemical processses involved in copper supporting melanin production, what melanin does after it absorbs UV light, what other nutrients we should be supplementing to protect ourselves from sunburn and skin photoaging, the complexity of the zinc/copper ratio and where I stand with it, how you can diagnose yourself for deficiencies using symptoms instead of blood tests, and more.

  • Weight Loss and Bowel Disorders Require Thyroid with Natasha Snoeijer

I see a lot of health educators throw their weight around saying that they have more then a few decades of experience working one on one with clients, and then selling you the idea that acting based on your symptoms is just mimicking the allopathic pharma way of thinking. But what if we acknowledged our symptoms and used them as guiding lights instead of lab tests? Or you could do both.

Natasha Snoeijer focuses on thyroid, hormone and metabolic optimization. She joins me to bring that "what about both?" energy to the health discussion. What if high dose supplementation can create long term healing? One vitamin did that for her.

She shares her thoughts on the sugar diet, how to use your bowel movements to assess your health status, how to supplement thyroid properly, why she isn't a fan of hair tissue mineral analysis tests and what she likes instead, why candida cleanses don't work, and lots more.

  • Smoking, Metals in the Brain and the Vitamin K2 Solution

In this solo show I break down what Alzheimer's disease is, why so many studies show that tobacco smokers have higher risk for Alzheimer's, how the vitamin K shot given to infants differs from vitamin K supplements, and the specific and multiple mechanisms of how vitamin K2 works to prevent the development of Alzheimer's disease. I talk about the relationship between cadmium, lead, and Alzheimer's disease.

I spend quite a bit of time talking about the difference between nicotine supplements and smoking tobacco, and why smoking may not be as bad as everyone says if other things are done to mitigate the harmful products of combustion. I name a unique terpene found in high amounts in tobacco that acts as a precursor to Coenzyme Q10 and vitamin K2 and it also has anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, anti-tumor and antimicrobial properties.

This episode is very detailed and technical. Get supercharged.
