Story Transcript:

Sv: Hösten hade svept in över Skåne.
En: The autumn had swept over Skåne.

Sv: Löv i guld och rött krispade under fötterna när Elina och Viggo gick uppför den lilla kullen mot Ales Stenar.
En: Leaves of gold and red crunched underfoot as Elina and Viggo walked up the small hill towards Ales Stenar.

Sv: Vinden från Östersjön var kall och fräsch.
En: The wind from the Östersjön was cold and fresh.

Sv: Elina kände sig hemma bland dessa mäktiga stenblock.
En: Elina felt at home among these mighty stone blocks.

Sv: De hade stått här i tusentals år, tittat ut över havet och bevakat hemligheter ingen riktigt förstod.
En: They had stood here for thousands of years, overlooking the sea and guarding secrets that no one really understood.

Sv: "Tror du verkligen på detta?"
En: "Do you really believe in this?"

Sv: frågade Viggo medan han balanserade sin anteckningsbok mot spolande vinden.

Sv: Ryktet sa att på den natten skulle stenar lysa av sig själva, dra till sig nyfikna själar från hela landet.
En: The rumor said that on this night, the stones would glow by themselves, attracting curious souls from across the country.

Sv: "När börjar det?"
En: "When does it start?"

Sv: frågade Viggo.
En: Viggo asked.

Sv: "Inte länge nu," svarade Elina och tittade mot den mörknande himlen.
En: "Not long now," replied Elina, looking up at the darkening sky.

Sv: Trots att Viggo var skeptisk, kände hon en förväntan i luften.
En: Even though Viggo was skeptical, she felt an anticipation in the air.

Sv: Så, precis när mörkret helt invaderade, började ett mjukt skimrande ljus att glittra runt stenarna.
En: Then, just as darkness fully invaded, a soft shimmering light began to glisten around the stones.

Sv: Det började i ett hörn av skeppet och spred sig sedan, som ett oändligt pärlband av ljus.
En: It started in one corner of the ship and then spread like an endless string of pearls.

En: Viggo put the notebook in his pocket and smiled at Elina.

Sv: Hon hade lärt honom något viktigt den kvällen.
En: She had taught him something important that evening.

Sv: "Jag tror jag har en annan artikel att skriva," sa han.
En: "I think I have a different article to write," he said.

Sv: Elina skrattade, och de gick tillsammans i den stilla höstnatten, alla frågor och svar vilande under stjärnhimlen.
