Sv: Solens strålar glittrade över Siljan.
En: The sun's rays sparkled over Lake Siljan.

Sv: Det var tidig morgon i huvudstaden, Stockholm.
En: It was early morning in the capital, Stockholm.

Sv: Staden började vakna till liv.
En: The city was beginning to come to life.

Sv: En av morgonfåglarna var Astrid, en klipsk, ung tjej i sina bästa år.
En: One of the early birds was Astrid, a clever, young girl in her prime.

Sv: Astrid stod framför det stora, blåa byggnaden.
En: Astrid stood in front of the large, blue building.

Sv: Bokstäverna på skylten lyste starkt - Ikea.
En: The letters on the sign shone brightly - Ikea.

Sv: Med lite vemod i blicken knöt Astrid sin regnkappa.
En: With a hint of melancholy in her eyes, Astrid tied her raincoat.

Sv: Det var tid för att hoppa rakt in i möbellabyrinten.
En: It was time to dive straight into the furniture maze.

Sv: Hon började i köksavdelningen.
En: She started in the kitchen department.

Sv: Det var bord efter bord, stol på stol.
En: It was table after table, chair after chair.

Sv: Röda prislappar blinkade åt henne från varje hörn.
En: Red price tags blinked at her from every corner.

Sv: Men Astrid tappade snabbt bort sig.
En: But Astrid quickly lost herself.

Sv: Hyllorna som en gång kändes välkomnande, blev till ett virrvarr.

En: But soon they felt like foreign languages.

Sv: Hon provade alla dörrar, men alla ledde bara tillbaka in i labyrinten.
En: She tried all the doors, but they only led back into the labyrinth.

Sv: Även när hon följde pfeilarna på golvet, hamnade Astrid alltid tillbaka vid köken.
En: Even when she followed the arrows on the floor, Astrid always ended up back at the kitchens.

Sv: Mitt i all förvirring kom hjälpen.
En: In the midst of all the confusion, help arrived.

Sv: En liten pojke i blå arbetskläder hoppades fram.
En: A little boy in blue work clothes hopped forward.

Sv: Han sa sitt namn var Emil.
En: He said his name was Emil.

Sv: Emil pekade på en dörr i hörnet.
En: Emil pointed to a door in the corner.

Sv: "Prova där!
En: "Try there!"

Sv: " sade han.

Sv: Astrid följde hans råd.
En: Astrid followed his advice.

Sv: Men ännu en gång var hon tillbaka vid köken !
En: Yet once again, she found herself back at the kitchens!

Sv: Slutligen, efter timmar av desperation, hittade Astrid vad hon letade efter.
En: Finally, after hours of desperation, Astrid found what she was looking for.

Sv: I utkanten av möbellabyrinten, bortom köken och sofforna, hittade hon den blå utgångsskylten.
En: On the outskirts of the furniture maze, beyond the kitchens and sofas, she found the blue exit sign.

Sv: Tacksam och lättad klev Astrid ut i solskenet.
En: Grateful and relieved, Astrid stepped out into the sunshine.

Sv: Efter den dagen gick Astrid aldrig vilse igen.
En: After that day, Astrid never got lost again.

Sv: Hon visste att i varje labyrint, oavsett hur snurrig och rörig, finns det alltid en utgång.
En: She knew that in every maze, no matter how twisty and confusing, there is always an exit.
