Uk: Заметав сніг.
En: The snow swept across the landscape.

Uk: Місяцем засіяні Карпати змінилися на білосніжне полотно.
En: The Karpaty Mountains, bathed in moonlight, turned into a snow-white canvas.

Uk: Де колись були дерева, зараз великий килим із білосніжних хмар.
En: Where trees once stood, now lay a great carpet of snowy clouds.

Uk: Десь вдалині серед цього зимового дивовижного світу йшли троє.
En: Somewhere in the distance, amid this wondrous winter world, walked three people.

Uk: Дружно крокували по звичній стежці — Димитро, Олена та Ярослав.
En: They were walking amicably along a familiar path — Dymytrο, Olena, and Yaroslav.

Uk: Вони не помітили, як сніговий вихор закрив сліди інших.
En: They didn't notice as the snow whirlwind covered the tracks of others.

Uk: Димитро, досвідчений гірський похідник, йшов на чолі.
En: Dymytrο, an experienced mountain hiker, walked at the front.

En: The birch grove leading down to the valley seemed safe, though a longer route.

Uk: Черговий шлях виглядав як коротка стежка, але хитромудра та слизька.
En: Another path appeared as a short trail but was intricate and slippery.

Uk: Димитро глибоко вдихнув і, зібравши всі свої сили, звелів обрати стежку через ліс.
En: Dymytrο took a deep breath and, gathering all his strength, ordered them to choose the path through the forest.

Uk: Вибір виявився не вдалим, коли красива, засніжена галявина обернулася в піщане ложе.
