Happy New Year! And Welcome to the First Episode of the Negotiate Your Best Life Podcast!! Woohoo! For those of you who have been listening to Breaking Free: A Modern Divorce Podcast, there will still be lot of juicy nuggets you can use here – but probably even more – since navigating and negotiating the legal process, the mediation, your emotions, the pain, the heartache and on and on – is what divorce is all about! When I started Breaking Free in the summer of 2018, I named it the same thing as my divorce book, and I was still focusing only on divorce – then in September of this past year, 2019, I published a book called Negotiate Like You Matter – it went to #1 the day it was released – Robert Shapiro wrote the foreword for the book – magical things happened and it made me realize that I really didn’t want to focus just on divorce anymore – that people who are going through a divorce don’t even want to be defined by divorce – that all of us as humans are navigating and negotiating all day long – and we all just want one thing – to be valued – to be seen and heard – to know that we matter. So this new re-tooled version of my podcast will have all the same amazing nuggets of information it has always had for people who are divorcing, but we are going to go deeper than that. My guests are going to be ready to be raw and real. We’ve all got head trash that we are negotiating with – so this is going to be all about negotiating for living. Susan Guthrie has decided to move on and pursue other endeavors and we wish her well.
