Story Transcript:

En: On a fresh winter morning in the southern hemisphere, the sun shone softly over the gated community.

En: The palm trees swayed lazily and the scent of flowers mixed with the fresh air.

En: Evaristo and Malena enjoyed a quiet afternoon in their garden, a rare pause of tranquility in their hectic life.

En: Evaristo, with his love for order, mentally reviewed his pending tasks, while Malena, with her adventurous spirit, took photos of the colorful flowers.

En: Suddenly, a proud peacock appeared on the lawn.

En: Its plumage glistened in the sun and its steps were confident.

En: exclaimed Malena, excited by the unexpected visitor.

Es: "¡Es un pavo real!"
En: "It's a peacock!"

En: Evaristo, somewhat uneasy by the unexpected presence, suggested, "Let's not make any noise, we don't want to scare it."

En: However, the peacock, with all the arrogance of a king, strutted towards them.

En: Malena, amused, tried to get closer to take a photo, but Evaristo, nervous, backed towards the house's door.

En: "Come on, let's stay inside until it leaves," he proposed, trying to stay calm.

En: However, as they stepped back, the door slammed shut.

En: To their horror, they realized they had left it unlocked.

En: sighed Evaristo, realizing they were locked outside.

En: "The spare is under the pot, but... the peacock is right there!"

En: Malena laughed, enjoying the absurdity of the situation.

En: "I'll try to get closer and take a good photo.

Es: Siempre podemos ahuyentarlo después."
En: We can always scare it away later."

En: Evaristo sighed and, with his meticulous plan, decided to lure the peacock away from the door.

En: He went to the outdoor kitchen and found a piece of bread.

En: Carefully, he began throwing crumbs to lead the colorful intruder away from the keys.

En: The peacock, curious, began to follow the crumbs.

En: However, just as Evaristo was about to reach the pot, Malena, overcome with excitement, took a perfect photo.

En: The camera's flash startled the bird, which spread its bright wings and rushed back towards Evaristo.

Es: "¡Malena!
En: "Malena!"

Es: ", gritó Evaristo, esquivando las plumas agitadas.
En: shouted Evaristo, dodging the flapping feathers.

En: Finally, amidst the chaos, Evaristo managed to grab the keys and open the door.

En: Malena, with a fresh laugh, celebrated her perfect photo.

En: "Sorry, but I couldn't resist," she said, showing the perfect picture of the peacock on her camera.

En: Evaristo, taking a deep breath, started to laugh too.

En: "I guess a bit of chaos doesn't hurt," he admitted, enjoying the unexpected moment.

En: As the peacock gracefully disappeared among the bushes and the couple returned to the warm refuge of their home, Evaristo and Malena understood something valuable.
