Sv: Solen glittrade över den svenska landsbygden.
En: The sun glittered over the svenska countryside.

Sv: Det var midsommar.
En: It was midsommar.

Sv: Elin satt på verandan till sommarstugan.
En: Elin sat on the porch of the summer cottage.

Sv: Doften av nyklippt gräs blandades med aromen av dill och jordgubbar från köket.
En: The scent of freshly cut grass mixed with the aroma of dill and strawberries from the kitchen.

Sv: Runt omkring var ängarna gröna och fulla av blommor.
En: All around, the meadows were green and full of flowers.

Sv: Sjön låg spegelblank, bara störd av en liten skur av fiskar i ytan.
En: The lake lay mirror-like, only disturbed by a small splash of fish at the surface.

Sv: Elin och Isak satte sig vid sjön för att komma undan en stund.

En: "How are you, really?

En: How is life in the city?"

Sv: Isak såg ut över vattnet, sedan ner i marken.
En: Isak looked across the water, then down at the ground.

En: He opened up.

Sv: "Det är mycket som händer.
En: "There's a lot going on.

Sv: Jobbet, livet.
En: Work, life.

Sv: Ibland vet jag inte om jag har gjort rätt val."
En: Sometimes I don't know if I’ve made the right choices."

Sv: Elin lade sin hand på hans axel.
En: Elin placed her hand on his shoulder.

Sv: "Du kan alltid komma hit”, sa hon mjukt.
En: "You can always come here," she said softly.

Sv: "Det här är ditt hem också."
En: "This is your home too."

Sv: När de återigen deltog i festligheterna var något förändrat.
