Pl: W powietrzu unosił się zapach świeżo pieczonych pierników.

Pl: Nad stołem wisiała jemioła, a w tle cicho grały kolędy.
En: Mistletoe hung above the table, and softly in the background, carols played.

Pl: Był to dzień, na który Kasia czekała cały rok.
