Sv: Sommarsolen strålade över skolgården.
En: The summer sun shone over the schoolyard.

Sv: Flaggorna vajade och det doftade av grillat kött.
En: Flags waved, and the scent of grilled meat filled the air.

Sv: Lena, Mats och Einar stod vid ett av de färgglada stånden.
En: Lena, Mats, and Einar stood by one of the colorful stalls.

Sv: Det var sommarens stora insamlingsdag för skolans nya bibliotek.
En: It was the big summer fundraising day for the school’s new library.

Sv: Lena var full av energi.
En: Lena was full of energy.

Sv: Hon vinkade och ropade till alla som gick förbi.
En: She waved and called out to everyone who passed by.

Sv: "Kom och stöd vår skola!
En: "Come support our school!

Sv: Köp en lott eller en hamburgare!"

En: "Mats, what do you think?"

Sv: Mats skakade på huvudet.
En: Mats shook his head.

Sv: "Jag är inte säker, men vi måste prova något nytt."
En: "I'm not sure, but we have to try something new."

Sv: Lena tog ett djupt andetag.
En: Lena took a deep breath.

Sv: "Okej, jag ska prata med alla."
En: "Okay, I'll talk to everyone."

Sv: Hon gick upp på scenen och tog mikrofonen.
En: She went up on stage and took the microphone.

Sv: "Hej alla!
En: "Hi everyone!

Sv: Jag vet att Einar har gjort sitt bästa, men vi har en annan idé.
En: I know Einar has done his best, but we have another idea.

Sv: Vad säger ni om vi har en stor auktion istället?
En: How about we hold a big auction instead?

Sv: Vi har så många bra saker att sälja!"
En: We have so many great items to sell!"

Sv: Einar såg förvånad ut men nickade långsamt.
En: Einar looked surprised but slowly nodded.

Sv: Publiken applåderade och verkade glada över förändringen.
En: The audience cheered and seemed excited about the change.

Sv: Auktionen började och folk bjöd friskt på varorna.
En: The auction began and people eagerly bid on the items.
