Ca: El sol brillava intensament sobre el Mercat Lluminós, un lloc viu i ple de colors.
En: The sun shone brightly over the Luminous Market, a lively and colorful place.

Ca: Oriol, un home simpàtic però una mica despistat, passejava entre les paradetes amb un somriure.
En: Oriol, a friendly but somewhat absent-minded man, strolled between the stalls with a smile.

Ca: Avui era el dia de la gran paella familiar i ell volia comprar tots els ingredients a temps.
En: Today was the day of the big family paella, and he wanted to buy all the ingredients on time.

Ca: Però no tot seria tan fàcil.
En: But it wouldn’t be so easy.

Ca: Mentre seleccionava l’arròs, una gavina entremaliada, volant per sobre del mercat, es fixava en la seva cistella.
En: While selecting the rice, a mischievous seagull flying over the market had its eye on his basket.

Ca: A Oriol li faltaven pocs ingredients: el marisc, el safrà, les verdures... Tot havia d’estar perfecte per al dinar d’avui.

Ca: Va posar l’arròs a la cistella i va avançar.
En: He put the rice in his basket and moved on.

Ca: En passar per la parada de peix, la gavina va fer el seu primer moviment.
En: As he passed the fish stall, the seagull made its first move.

Ca: Amb un salt àgil, va robar la cueta d’una gamba i va desaparèixer en un instant.
En: With an agile jump, it stole the tail of a shrimp and disappeared in an instant.

Ca: Oriol, sense adonar-se'n, va continuar cap a la parada de verdures, decidit a trobar els millors pebrots i tomàquets.

Ca: Però un altre cop, la gavina va actuar.

Ca: "Maleïda gavina!", va exclamar, arrufant el nas.
En: "Darn seagull!" he exclaimed, wrinkling his nose.

Ca: Llavors, va tenir una brillant idea.
En: Then, he had a brilliant idea.

Ca: Va preparar una cistella de parament, plena d'objectes inútils per a la gavina.
En: He prepared a decoy basket, filled with useless objects for the seagull.

Ca: La seva veritable cistella estaria segura aquesta vegada, pensava.
En: His real basket would be safe this time, he thought.

Ca: Amb molta cura, va amagar la cistella amb els ingredients sota una taula.
En: Carefully, he hid the basket with the ingredients under a table.

Ca: Però la gavina, esperta com era, no va caure al parany.
En: But the seagull, clever as it was, did not fall for the trap.
