Pl: Zima zaciskała swoje zimne palce na ruinach miasta.
En: Winter clenched its cold fingers around the ruins of the city.

Pl: Śnieg pokrywał wszystko jak siwy puch, a zniszczone budynki wyglądały jak duchy z przeszłości.
En: Snow covered everything like gray fluff, and the destroyed buildings looked like ghosts from the past.

Pl: Tylko odgłosy kroków na śniegu i szelest lodowatego wiatru przerywały ciszę.
En: Only the sounds of footsteps on the snow and the rustling of the icy wind broke the silence.

Pl: Zbigniew szedł razem z Ewą przez uliczki pełne gruzu.
En: Zbigniew walked with Ewa through streets full of rubble.

Pl: Na jego twarzy widniał surowy wyraz zmęczenia, a w oczach błyszczała determinacja.
