Fr: Le soleil se levait à peine sur la ville de Paris.
En: The sun was just rising over the city of Paris.

Fr: Les rues étaient encore calmes, la plupart des habitants profitant des derniers instants de sommeil.
En: The streets were still quiet, most of the residents enjoying the last moments of sleep.

Fr: À l'exception de Pierre.
En: Except for Pierre.

Fr: Pierre était déjà réveillé, impatient de commencer sa journée dans la ville de la romance.
En: Pierre was already awake, eager to start his day in the city of romance.

Fr: Pierre n'était pas français, mais cela ne l'a jamais empêché d'aimer Paris.
