Story Transcript:

Ja: 新宿御苑の温室は、夏の日差しがいっぱいに注ぎ、色とりどりの花の香りが漂っています。
En: The greenhouse in Shinjuku Gyoen is filled with the bright summer sun and the fragrant scent of colorful flowers.

Ja: 観光客でいっぱいの賑やかな庭園です。
En: It's a lively garden bustling with tourists.

Ja: ユウト、アイコ、ケンジは、その中を楽しそうに歩いていました。
En: Yuto, Aiko, and Kenji were walking happily among them.

Ja: ユウトは友達に自分の知識を見せたいと思っていました。
En: Yuto wanted to show his friends his knowledge.

Ja: 特に、アイコに少し良い印象を与えたいのです。
En: In particular, he wanted to make a good impression on Aiko.

Ja: 彼はバッグの中にいる珍しいカエルをみんなに見せようと思いました。
En: He decided to show everyone the rare frog in his bag.

Ja: このカエルはユウトが研究していたもので、とても特別でした。
En: This frog was something Yuto had been studying and was very special.

Ja: しかし、ユウトがバッグを開けると、カエルはピョン！と跳び出しました。
En: However, when Yuto opened his bag, the frog went "Boing!" and jumped out.

Ja: 周りはちょっとしたパニックです。
En: There was a bit of panic around them.

Ja: 「あれは何だったの？」という声があちこちから聞こえます。
En: Voices saying, "What was that?" could be heard from all directions.

Ja: スタッフも慌て始めました。
En: The staff also began to panic.

Ja: 「このままではカエルが他の動植物に影響してしまう！」と叫ぶスタッフもいます。
En: Some staff members shouted, "If we leave it like this, the frog will affect other plants and animals!"

Ja: ユウトは心臓がドキドキしました。
En: Yuto's heart was pounding.

Ja: 彼のカエルだとバレたら大変です。
En: If it was discovered that the frog was his, it would be a big problem.

Ja: でも、どうにかして捕まえなくてはなりません。
En: But he had to catch it somehow.

Ja: ユウトは必死にカエルを追いかけました。
En: Yuto desperately chased after the frog.

Ja: そこへ、カエルは大きな池の方へ逃げました。
En: It fled toward a large pond.

Ja: ユウトは一生懸命に追いかけましたが、滑って池に落ちてしまいました。
En: Yuto chased after it with all his might but slipped and fell into the pond.

Ja: 水は冷たく、服はぐっしょりです。
En: The water was cold, and his clothes were drenched.

Ja: しかし、幸運にも彼の手にはカエルがいました。
En: Fortunately, he had the frog in his hand.

Ja: 「やった！捕まえた！」とうれしそうに叫びました。
En: "I did it! I caught it!" he shouted happily.

Ja: 周りの人は驚いて見ていましたが、事情を知らないので何も言いませんでした。
En: The people around were watching in surprise but didn’t say anything as they didn’t know the circumstances.

Ja: アイコとケンジはユウトを助けながら笑いました。
En: Aiko and Kenji laughed as they helped Yuto.

Ja: 「ユウト、すごいね。でも、大丈夫？」とアイコが心配そうに言います。
En: "Yuto, that was amazing! But are you okay?" Aiko said with concern.

Ja: ユウトは少し照れくさそうに言いました。「実は、君たちにカエルを見せて驚かせたかったんだ。」
En: Yuto replied a bit sheepishly, "Actually, I wanted to surprise you by showing you the frog."

Ja: アイコとケンジは笑いました。
En: Aiko and Kenji laughed.

Ja: 「そんなことしなくても友達だよ」とケンジが言いました。
En: "You don't need to do such things to be our friend," Kenji said.

Ja: その後、ユウトは見せびらかすことよりも友達との友情が大切だと学びました。
En: After that, Yuto learned that friendship was more important than showing off.

Ja: 彼は誠実でいることの大切さを知り、3人はますます仲良くなりました。
En: He realized the importance of being sincere, and the three of them grew even closer.

Ja: 新宿御苑には明るい夏の一日が続き、彼らの笑い声が響きました。
En: The bright summer day continued at Shinjuku Gyoen, echoing with their laughter.
