Story Transcript:

De: Hans und Anna waren auf dem Oktoberfest.
En: Hans and Anna were at the Oktoberfest.

De: Sie waren hungrig und wollten etwas Leckeres essen.
En: They were hungry and wanted something tasty to eat.

De: Aber was sollten sie sich aussuchen?
En: But what should you choose?

De: "Wie wäre es mit einer Riesenbrezel?"
En: "How about a giant pretzel?"

De: schlug Hans vor und Anna nickte zustimmend.
En: suggested Hans and Anna nodded in agreement.

De: Sie machten sich auf den Weg, um eine zu finden.
En: They set out to find one.

De: Es war voll auf dem Oktoberfest und sie verirrten sich in der Menge.
En: It was packed at the Oktoberfest and they got lost in the crowd.

De: "Wo sind wir?"
En: "Where are we?"

De: fragte Anna ängstlich.
En: asked Anna anxiously.

De: Hans schaute sich um und konnte sich nicht erinnern, wo sie waren.
En: Hans looked around and couldn't remember where they were.

De: Sie hatten sich verlaufen!
En: You were lost!

De: Sie gingen weiter, immer auf der Suche nach einer Brezel.
En: They walked on, always looking for a pretzel.

De: Schließlich fanden sie einen Stand, aber die Brezeln waren ausverkauft.
En: Eventually they found a booth, but the pretzels were sold out.

De: Jetzt waren sie wirklich hungrig.
En: Now they were really hungry.

De: "Ich glaube, wir sollten uns Hilfe suchen", sagte Anna.
En: "I think we should seek help," said Anna.

De: Aber Hans wollte es alleine schaffen.
En: But Hans wanted to do it alone.

De: Sie gingen weiter, aber die Menge wurde immer dichter.
En: They kept walking, but the crowd grew thicker.

De: Plötzlich sah Hans eine Brezel in der Hand eines Mannes vorbeigehen.
En: Suddenly Hans saw a pretzel in a man's hand passing by.

De: "Da drüben, da gibt es welche!"
En: "Over there, there are some!"

De: rief er und rannte los.
En: he called and ran.

De: Anna folgte ihm und sie rannten durch die Menge.
En: Anna followed him and they ran through the crowd.

De: Als sie den Mann erreichten, war die Brezel weg.
En: When they reached the man, the pretzel was gone.

De: "Verdammt!"
En: "Damned!"

De: fluchte Hans.
En: cursed Hans.

De: Aber der Mann sagte, dass er noch einen Stand kannte, wo es Brezeln gab.
En: But the man said he knew another stand that sold pretzels.

De: Sie folgten ihm und nach einer Weile erreichten sie den Stand.
En: They followed him and after a while they reached the stand.

De: Die Brezel war riesig und sah köstlich aus.
En: The pretzel was huge and looked delicious.

De: Sie kauften sie und setzten sich auf eine Bank, um sie zu essen.
En: They bought them and sat on a bench to eat them.

De: Die Brezel war so groß, dass sie beide gleichzeitig daran knabbern mussten.
En: The pretzel was so big that they both had to nibble on it at the same time.

De: Es war lustig und sie lachten.
En: It was funny and they laughed.

De: Sie hatten vergessen, wie hungrig sie waren.
En: They had forgotten how hungry they were.

De: Als sie fertig waren, fühlten sie sich satt und glücklich.
En: When they finished, they felt full and happy.

De: "Das war lecker!"
En: "It was delicious!"

De: rief Anna.
En: called Anna.

De: "Ja, wirklich fantastisch", stimmte Hans zu.
En: "Yes, really fantastic," agreed Hans.

De: Sie standen auf und sahen sich um.
En: They got up and looked around.

De: Der Mann war verschwunden.
En: The man was gone.

De: Sie hatten vergessen, ihm zu danken.
En: You forgot to thank him.

De: Aber das war egal.
En: But that didn't matter.

De: Sie hatten eine tolle Zeit auf dem Oktoberfest und würden sich immer an ihre Suche nach der Riesenbrezel erinnern.
En: They had a great time at Oktoberfest and would always remember their quest for the giant pretzel.
