Codependent people think, they could solve their emotional problems through love, validation and masking while being in a relationship.
But the truth is, emotional independence actually is achieved through self-love, clear boundaries and expressing emotions and needs.
In today’s episode you will understand:
What codependency actually is
How it is connected with complex trauma
Which shocking role narcissists play in that connection
And why in particular highly sensitive people are affected by it

Almost 70 % of children experience at least 1 traumatic event before reaching age 16.
Parallel to that, highly sensitive children and children with autism or ADHD tend to experience traumatic events more often and as more severe.
BUT does that automatically mean, that they’re also more likely to develop symptoms of a post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)?
Today, we will shed some light on the question: “Is almost every neurodivergent person also traumatized?”
We will therefore discuss
- Why neurodivergents might be at higher risk to develop trauma wounds
- And also what maybe makes neurodivergent children and adults more resistant to traumatic events?

"I was first diagnosed with an Anxiety Disorder, at age 35 I was diagnosed with Autism and then my therapist told me I have ADHD as well."
I read a ton of these comments here on YouTube.
BUT there is one big problem: I suppose that many of them are far from the truth.
In fact, the reason for many symptoms people experience might be actually childhood wounds and trauma.
To prove that, today,
we will define, what complex trauma actually is (and that most people have a completely wrong understanding of it),
We will discuss, if many people really use autistic masking, or maybe do something else? ;)
Find out, if it’s actually ADHD caused inattentiveness or another learned pattern
And we will debunk many more typical autism and ADHD related symptoms

Being hypersensitive is easy to recognize. A heightened perception of incoming stimuli causes a quick reaction and high emotional activity.
BUT what about hyposensitive people? Are they overlooked in our society?
Today we see, if people who are less sensitive and therefore often appear a bit clumsy or forgetful are misunderstood.
We take a deep look, what hyposensitivity actually is,
Who is affected by it,
And what the difference between hypo- and hypersensitivity is.

Our society has no idea what a meltdown actually is and why it manifests itself in an uncontrollable emotional outburst, resulting in a shutdown or burnout.
Therefore today we will uncover what meltdown, shutdown and burnout are in people with autism or highly sensitive people.
We will discuss the role of the central nervous system within the whole phenomenon.
And in the end we will look at a 5 steps process to re-regulate meltdowns, shutdowns and burnouts in adult people with autism or SPS.
Let me tell you one thing upfront: What I can conclude so far is, that meltdowns, shutdowns and burnouts become rarer the older people get and the more they learn to re-regulate their nervous system. So there definitely are ways to handle it.
