Story Transcript:

Ca: Marta caminava per la Rambla, admirant les decoracions de Nadal.
En: Marta was walking down La Rambla, admiring the Christmas decorations.

Ca: A la seva mà portava una bossa plena de caganers, les figures de Nadal que els catalans col·loquen al pessebre.
En: In his hand he carried a bag full of caganers, the Christmas figures that Catalans place in the nativity scene.

Ca: De sobte, sense adonar-se'n, Marta va xocar amb algú.
En: Suddenly, without realizing it, Marta bumped into someone.

Ca: Va caure a terra i els caganers van sortir volant de la bossa, caient a terra i esmicolant-se en mil trossos.
En: It fell to the floor and the caganers flew out of the bag, falling to the floor and shattering into a thousand pieces.

Ca: En Jaume havia estat l'altre partícip involuntari del xoc i també havia caigut, el seu caganer trencant-se en el procés.

Ca: Marta i en Jaume es van aixecar tots maldestresament, buscant una forma de recollir els caganers sense que ningú els veiés.

Ca: Però ja era massa tard, els turistes s'havien aturat per veure l'espectacle, mirant amb confusió els dos catalans intentant recollir les seves figures destrossades.
En: But it was too late, the tourists had stopped to watch the spectacle, looking confusedly at the two Catalans trying to pick up their shattered figures.

Ca: Mentre els dos recollien els caganers, es van adonar que tenien una cosa en comú: tots dos eren apassionats per la restauració de caganers.
En: As the two collected caganers, they realized they had one thing in common: they were both passionate about restoring caganers.

Ca: Aquell petit incident a la Rambla va resultar ser el començament d'una amistat, amb Marta i en Jaume compartint la seva passió per les figures de Nadal i creant les seves pròpies creacions durant el temps que van passar junts.
