Ko: 서울의 겨울은 차가웠습니다.
En: Winter in Seoul was cold.

Ko: 그러나 집 안은 따뜻했습니다. 온 가족이 설날을 준비하고 있었기 때문입니다.
En: However, the inside of the house was warm because the whole family was preparing for Seollal, the Lunar New Year.

Ko: 커다란 가족집에선 웃음소리가 가득했습니다.
En: Laughter filled the large family home.

Ko: 부엌에서는 맛있는 음식 냄새가 났습니다.
En: From the kitchen came the smell of delicious food.

Ko: 떡국과 갈비찜, 그리고 잡채가 한창 준비되고 있었습니다.
En: tteokguk, galbijjim, and japchae were being prepared.

Ko: 그날, 준은 거실에서 이상한 것을 발견했습니다.
En: That day, Jun discovered something strange in the living room.

En: A familiar family portrait hung on the wall.
