Story Transcript:

En: The evening light bathed the rooftops of Buenos Aires, reflecting off the old building's windows.

En: Santiago was on the roof of the old building, surrounded by rusty antennas and small gravel stones.

En: Next to him, Luciana watched him with a mix of skepticism and amusement.

En: Although it was spring, the wind blew strong from the river, making it more difficult.

En: Santiago was holding a huge Christmas ornament: a green wreath with red ribbons and golden bells.

Es: "¡Esta vez lo lograremos, Luciana!
En: "This time we'll make it, Luciana!"

En: he said enthusiastically, while trying to hook the wreath on the edge of the roof.

En: But the wind was playing against them, moving the wreath from side to side.

Es: "¿Estás seguro de esto, Santiago?
En: "Are you sure about this, Santiago?"

Es: ", preguntó Luciana, cruzando los brazos.
En: Luciana asked, crossing her arms.

Es: Su tono era práctico.
En: Her tone was practical.

En: "Maybe it's better to hang it on the door."

En: "It doesn't have the same impact on the door," replied Santiago, trying to keep the wreath in place.

En: "I want the whole building to feel the Christmas spirit."

En: Luciana shook her head, but she couldn't resist helping him.

En: She approached the edge of the roof and helped him balance the wreath.

En: "Okay, but I don't want to spend Christmas in the hospital."

En: "I have a plan B," he said, pulling out a roll of tape.

En: "With this, it won't go anywhere."

En: As he tried to secure the tape, a strong gust of wind swept the roof.

En: The wreath flew, and with it, Santiago lost his balance.

En: Luciana, with her heart in her throat, reacted quickly, grabbing his arm just in time.

En: Both regained their balance and, amidst nervous laughter, they let themselves fall sitting on the gravel.

En: "That was a bit too exciting for me!"

En: Santiago, relieved, joined in her laughter.

En: "I think you're right," admitted Santiago, looking at the wreath that now lay at their feet.

En: "Maybe it's better on the door."

En: Back on the ground, they hung the wreath on the building's front door.

Es: "Mira," dijo Luciana, admirando su trabajo.
En: "Look," said Luciana, admiring their work.

Es: "No está nada mal.
En: "It's not bad at all.

Es: A veces lo simple es mejor."
En: Sometimes simple is better."

En: Santiago looked at Luciana, realizing that the gesture wasn't as important as the time spent together.

En: "You know, being here with you is the best part of all."

En: With a shared smile and the simple wreath adorning the entrance, Santiago and Luciana concluded that grand gestures weren't necessary to make special moments.

En: The city continued to pulse around them, but for them, that small moment was perfect.
