Andy Pace works with homeowners, builders, and architects around the globe to create healthy and safe living environments for residents. He joins me today for the first part of a two-part series to explain why that is so important and offer advice and tips. He clarifies what makes a home healthy, safe, and non-toxic, what to prioritize when making your home healthier and how to reduce mold and off gassing inside your home.

Two types of off-gassing that occur in a new house:

                    1. Cured or applied materials, like paint adhesives and caulking liquids, cure on site and off-gas daily but generally take anywhere from two-and-a-half to four-and-a-half years to completely off-gas.
                    2. Odiferous chemicals tend to off-gas much quicker and flush out through the ventilation system.

Dr. Jill Carnahan joins me today for Part 2 of our gem-packed two-part series. In this episode, she expands on her story and discusses the importance of a flow state and staying curious. We also talk about all things related to biotoxin illness. If you have not yet listened to Part 1, I suggest you go back and listen to it to hear the first part of her story.

How to detoxify your body after mold exposure:

                        1. Increase your glutathione production by taking it, doing liposomal, or with an IV to help your liver dump the toxins into the bile and excrete them
                        2. Use clay, charcoal, chlorella, probiotics like Saccharomyces, or N-acetylcysteine to bind the toxins
                        3. Use prescription binders to assist in getting the toxins out of the body

Carol Lourie joins me today for Part 2 of the two-part series on estrogen dominance and cancer. In Part 1, we discussed estrogen dominance, what you can do about it, what you need to know and do if breast cancer runs in your family, and the first step after receiving a cancer diagnosis. Today, in Part 2, we dive into tamoxifen, aromatase inhibitors, and circulating tumor cell testing, all of which may be new information for you.

Important advice for women starting aromatase inhibitors

                                • Do not start taking it every day. Build up slowly over several weeks instead.
                                • Do not suffer in silence!
                                • Do not accept being made to feel like you are oversensitive or complaining
                                • Take a drug holiday
                                • Learn how to manage the symptoms
                                • After five years, ask for a breast cancer index test

                                • Dr. Carol Lourie's Bio:

There are many ways to look at breast cancer – the metabolic – taking into consideration the pathways that promote cancer; the environmental – how increased exposure to toxins is becoming a greater influence; the emotional – how trauma, either recent or many years prior, contributes. But simply put, a cancer diagnosis is a very loud message that there is a loss of harmony – usually in more than one area of the woman’s life. So, the task at hand becomes how to restore harmony – physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Carol Lourie is a Naturopath, Acupuncturist, Homeopath, and Holistic Breast Health Expert with more than 35 years of experience understanding complex, chronic diseases. She believes healing is always possible, and her mission is to empower women with the tools they need to deeply recover their health and restore their life.
