Da: På gaderne i Nyhavn stod Mikkel med sit staffeli.
En: On the streets of Nyhavn, Mikkel stood with his easel.

Da: Det var forårsjævndøgn, og solen skinnede klart på de farverige huse langs kanalen.
En: It was the spring equinox, and the sun shone brightly on the colorful houses along the canal.

Da: Mikkel var en ung kunstner, der ledte efter inspiration.
En: Mikkel was a young artist looking for inspiration.

Da: Han ønskede at male Nyhavns sjæl, men var nervøs.
En: He wanted to paint the soul of Nyhavn, but he was nervous.

Da: Ville han finde de livlige farver, der kunne bryde hans kreative blokade?
En: Would he find the vibrant colors that could break his creative block?

Da: Ved siden af ham stod hans gode venner, Astrid og Johan.
En: Beside him stood his good friends, Astrid and Johan.

Da: Han kunne ikke se de farver, han længtes efter.
En: He could not see the colors he longed for.

Da: Sneen dækkede alt med en hvid kappe.
En: The snow covered everything with a white cloak.

Da: "Hvad skal jeg gøre?"
En: "What should I do?"

Da: tænkte han.

En: "How can I paint this?"

Da: Mikkel overvejede at pakke sammen.
En: Mikkel considered packing up.

Da: Men så kiggede han igen.
En: But then he looked again.

En: The snow created a new beauty.

Da: Der var noget magisk ved de hvide lag over de gamle, farverige bygninger.
En: There was something magical about the white layers over the old, colorful buildings.

En: Suddenly, he got an idea.

En: Quickly, he grabbed his brush and began to paint the snow.
