Da: Solen hang lavt over Amager Strandpark, og duften af saltvand svævede i luften.
En: The sun hung low over Amager Strandpark, and the scent of saltwater lingered in the air.

Da: Folk havde samlet sig for at fejre Sankt Hans Aften.
En: People had gathered to celebrate Sankt Hans Aften.

Da: Børn løb omkring på stranden, mens voksne tændte bål og gjorde klar til at synge midsommerviser.
