Story Transcript:

Da: Solen skinnede klart gennem de store vinduer i Københavns Lufthavn.
En: The sun shone brightly through the large windows at Københavns Lufthavn.

En: It was a busy morning, and people hurried around, pulling their suitcases behind them.

En: Among the many travelers, Mikkel sat on a bench, his hands trembling slightly.

En: He was about to start a new job abroad, but the thought of flying made him anxious.

En: Beside him sat Freja, a lively woman with a large backpack.

En: Freja watched the passersby, searching for new stories for her travel blog.

En: A little farther away stood Emil with his cane; he was finally going to meet his favorite grandchild for the first time.

Da: Flyet til deres destination blev forsinket.
En: The flight to their destination was delayed.

En: Mikkel sighed and tried to calm himself.

En: Freja looked at him and noticed his unease.

En: She sat down next to him.

Da: "Er du på vej ud at rejse?"
En: "Are you off to travel?"

Da: spurgte hun venligt.
En: she asked kindly.

Da: Mikkel tøvede, men besluttede sig for at åbne op.
En: Mikkel hesitated but decided to open up.

Da: "Ja," sagde han.
En: "Yes," he said.

En: "But I'm nervous about flying."

En: "I've flown many times on my travels.

En: It can be scary, but it always goes well."

Da: Imens havde Emil hørt deres samtale.
En: Meanwhile, Emil had heard their conversation.

Da: "Undskyld," sagde han stille.
En: "Excuse me," he said quietly.

En: "But it sounds like you could also use some company.

Da: Jeg rejser for at møde mit barnebarn."
En: I'm traveling to meet my grandchild."

Da: Freja lyste op.
En: Freja brightened up.

Da: "Dejligt!
En: "Wonderful!

Da: Hvor rejser du til?"
En: Where are you traveling to?"

En: Emil shared his story, and soon the three were engrossed in conversation.

En: Freja asked about Mikkel's new job, while Emil talked about his grandchild and his health issues.

En: Mikkel spoke about his worries, and Emil admitted his own.

En: As they sat in the small café, a new message announced yet another delay.

Da: De kunne have været frustrerede, men deres samtale havde ændret noget.
En: They could have been frustrated, but their conversation changed something.

Da: De lyttede og støttede hinanden.
En: They listened to and supported each other.

En: Freja found inspiration in their life stories, Mikkel felt less alone with his fear, and Emil found the courage to talk to his family about his health.

En: When it was finally time to board, Mikkel was calm.

En: Freja looked at him and said, "I think you're braver than you think."

En: Emil bid them farewell, firmly determined to cherish every moment with his family.

En: As the plane ascended into the clear spring sky, they knew they had all gained something valuable from their chance encounter.

Da: Og i Københavns Lufthavn kunne man fortsat høre lyden af liv, historier og begyndelser.
En: And at Københavns Lufthavn, the sound of life, stories, and beginnings could still be heard.

Da: Slut.
En: The end.
