Story Transcript:

Da: På en typisk grå dag i København, sad Lars i sin velkendte brune lænestol.
En: On a typical gray day in Copenhagen, Lars sat in his familiar brown armchair.

Da: Han stirrede ud ad vinduet på kanalen, hvor pramme glider forbi.
En: He stared out the window at the canal where barges glided by.

Da: Lars er en fisker og bor tæt ved Nyhavn.
En: Lars is a fisherman and lives near Nyhavn.

Da: Han er en smilende, kraftig mand.
En: He is a smiling, strong man.

Da: Han elsker vejrudsigten lige meget, hvad den forkynder.
En: He loves the weather forecast no matter what it predicts.

Da: Og han tog aldrig på fisketur uden at se vejrudsigten først.
En: And he never went on a fishing trip without checking the forecast first.

Da: Signe er vejrpigen fra fjernsynet.
En: Signe is the weather girl from television.

Da: Hun er en ung, energisk kvinde med krøllet hår.
En: She is a young, energetic woman with curly hair.

Da: Hun viser farvede kort, hvor der er skyer, solskin og regn på en gang.
En: She shows colorful maps with clouds, sunshine, and rain all at once.

Da: Lars forstår ikke altid hvad det hele betyder.
En: Lars doesn't always understand what it all means.

Da: Frederik er Lars' gamle ven og tidligere fiskerkammerat.
En: Frederik is Lars' old friend and former fishing buddy.

Da: Han bor også tæt ved Nyhavn.
En: He also lives near Nyhavn.

Da: Han har en stor rød kat, og han kan lide at drikke stærk, sort kaffe.
En: He has a big red cat and he enjoys drinking strong, black coffee.

Da: En dag sad Lars og så på Signe på TV.
En: One day, Lars was watching Signe on TV.

Da: "God eftermiddag," sagde Signe.
En: "Good afternoon," said Signe.

Da: "I morgen får vi dansk sommer med både sol, regn, og måske hagl.
En: "Tomorrow we will have Danish summer with both sun, rain, and maybe hail."

Da: ""Hvad?
En: "What?"

Da: " sagde Lars forvirret.
En: said Lars confused.

Da: "Hvordan kan det både være sol, regn og hagl på samme tid?
En: "How can it be sunny, rainy, and hailing at the same time?"

Da: " De mærkelige vejrmeldinger gjorde ham utilpas.
En: The strange weather forecasts made him uneasy.

Da: Frederik kom på besøg.
En: Frederik came to visit.

Da: Han havde sin store røde kat med sig.
En: He brought his big red cat along.

Da: "Jeg hørte det også," sagde Frederik.
En: "I heard it too," said Frederik.

Da: "Men husk på, at vejret her i Danmark kan skifte hurtigt.
En: "But remember, the weather here in Denmark can change quickly.

Da: Det er meget normalt.
En: It's very normal."

Da: "Men Lars var stadig forvirret.
En: But Lars was still confused.

Da: Hvordan skulle han vide, hvilken slags tøj han skulle have på?
En: How would he know what kind of clothes to wear?

Da: Og kunne han tage på fisketur, når vejret var så mærkeligt?
En: And could he go fishing when the weather was so strange?

Da: Næste dag vågnede Lars tidligt.
En: The next day, Lars woke up early.

Da: Han åbnede vinduet, solen skinnede, og himlen var blå.
En: He opened the window, the sun was shining, and the sky was blue.

Da: "Måske var det bare en drøm," sagde han, lettet.
En: "Maybe it was just a dream," he said, relieved.

Da: "Nej," sagde Frederik og smilede.
En: "No," said Frederik, smiling.

Da: "Vejrpigen sagde, at det ville ændre sig hurtigt.
En: "The weather girl said it would change quickly.

Da: Se, skyerne kommer allerede.
En: Look, the clouds are already coming in."

Da: "Lars kiggede op og så mørke skyer rulle ind over himlen.
En: Lars looked up and saw dark clouds rolling in across the sky.

Da: "Åh, nu forstår jeg," sagde Lars.
En: "Oh, now I understand," said Lars.

Da: "Dansk sommer betyder bare alle slags vejr på en gang.
En: "Danish summer just means all kinds of weather at once."

Da: ""Ja," sagde Frederik og grinede.
En: "Yes," said Frederik, laughing.

Da: "Det er bare det, hun prøver at sige.
En: "That's just what she's trying to say."

Da: "Lars og Frederik drak kaffe sammen, og de grinede af vejret.
En: Lars and Frederik drank coffee together, and they laughed at the weather.

Da: Det gav dem ikke længere hovedpine.
En: It no longer gave them headaches.

Da: Fra den dag blev Lars ikke mere forvirret over den danske vejrudsigt.
En: From that day on, Lars was no longer confused by the Danish weather forecast.

Da: Han kunne nu se det sjove i det skiftende danske vejr og fortsatte med sin passion for fiskeri uanset vejret.
En: He could now see the humor in the changing Danish weather and continued with his passion for fishing regardless of the weather.
