Da: I Københavns hjerte møder vi Lars, Sofie og Maja.
En: In the heart of Copenhagen, we meet Lars, Sofie, and Maja.

Da: De tre venner står ved Rundetårn, omringet af grupper af forvirrede turister.
En: The three friends are standing by the Round Tower, surrounded by groups of confused tourists.

Da: Lars har rødt hår og et lyst smil.
En: Lars has red hair and a bright smile.

Da: Sofie har briller og læser altid en bog.
En: Sofie wears glasses and always reads a book.

Da: Maja elsker farver og har på en blomstret kjole.
En: Maja loves colors and is wearing a floral dress.

Da: "Hygge?
En: "Hygge?"

Da: " gentager en turist.
En: a tourist repeats.

Da: Hans øjne rynker sig i forvirring.
En: His eyes squint in confusion.

Da: Lars nikker.
En: Lars nods.

Da: "Ja, hygge.
En: "Yes, hygge."

Da: " Han prøver at finde ord.
En: He tries to find words.

Da: Maja trækker på skuldrene.
En: Maja shrugs.

Da: "Det er en følelse," siger hun og spreder armene ud.
En: "It's a feeling," she says, spreading her arms out.

Da: Hun kigger på Rundetårn.
En: She looks at the Round Tower.

Da: Sofie nikker.
En: Sofie nods.

Da: "Ja, en god følelse.
En: "Yes, a good feeling."

Da: " Hun holder en bog tæt på sit bryst.
En: She holds a book close to her chest.

Da: Lars prøver igen.
En: Lars tries again.

Da: "Det er varmt," siger han.
En: "It's warm," he says.

Da: "Og hyggeligt.
En: "And cozy."

Da: "Turisterne kigger stadig forvirrede ud.
En: The tourists still look puzzled.

Da: Lars, Sofie og Maja ser på hinanden.
En: Lars, Sofie, and Maja look at each other.

Da: De ved, hvad hygge er, men de ved ikke, hvordan de skal forklare det.
En: They know what hygge is, but they don't know how to explain it.

Da: De tager turisterne med rundt i København.
En: They take the tourists around Copenhagen.

Da: De viser dem Strøget, Nyhavn og Tivoli.
En: They show them Strøget, Nyhavn, and Tivoli.

Da: De spiser en varm pølse fra en pølsevogn.
En: They eat a hot dog from a food cart.

Da: De drikker en kop kaffe på en lille café.
En: They have a cup of coffee at a small café.

Da: "Hele dagen er vi sammen," siger Lars.
En: "All day we're together," says Lars.

Da: "Vi snakker, vi griner, vi har det sjovt.
En: "We talk, we laugh, we have fun."

Da: ""Ja," siger Maja.
En: "Yes," says Maja.

Da: "Vi er sammen.
En: "We're together.

Da: Vi er glade.
En: We're happy.

Da: Det er hygge.
En: It's hygge."

Da: ""Og vi føler os godt tilpas," tilføjer Sofie.
En: "And we feel comfortable," adds Sofie.

Da: I Tivoli ser de lysene om aftenen.
En: At Tivoli, they see the lights in the evening.

Da: De ser på hinanden.
En: They look at each other.

Da: De smiler.
En: They smile.

Da: "Nu forstår vi," siger en turist.
En: "Now we understand," says a tourist.

Da: "Hygge er at være sammen.
En: "Hygge is to be together.

Da: At være glad.
En: To be happy.

Da: At føle sig godt tilpas.
En: To feel comfortable."

Da: "Lars, Sofie og Maja nikker.
En: Lars, Sofie, and Maja nod.

Da: "Ja, det er hygge.
En: "Yes, that's hygge."

Da: "Sofie ser på sine venner.
En: Sofie looks at her friends.

Da: "Lad os gå hjem og hygge os," siger hun.
En: "Let's go home and hygge," she says.

Da: Lars og Maja nikker.
En: Lars and Maja nod.

Da: De tager afsked med turisterne og går hjem.
En: They bid farewell to the tourists and head home.

Da: I deres stue er der varmt.
En: In their living room, it's warm.

Da: Der er lys.
En: There is light.

Da: Der er bøger og kaffe.
En: There are books and coffee.

Da: De tre venner sætter sig på sofaen.
En: The three friends sit on the couch.

Da: De ser på hinanden.
En: They look at each other.

Da: De smiler.
En: They smile.

Da: "Dette er hygge," siger Lars.
En: "This is hygge," says Lars.

Da: Og de hygger resten af aftenen.
En: And they enjoy the rest of the evening hygging.
