Story Transcript:

Da: Freja stod foran Amalienborg, hvor snefnuggene dalede blidt ned over de skinnende brosten.
En: Freja stood in front of Amalienborg, where snowflakes gently fell over the glistening cobblestones.

En: The soft, yellow lights from the palace cast a warm glow against the sharp winter sky.

En: Christmas was approaching, and Freja felt both excitement and worry in her heart.

En: She missed Lucas, who was far away in Stockholm, yet she wanted to be there for her little brother, Aksel.

Da: "Kom, Aksel," sagde hun, og klemte hans hånd.
En: "Come on, Aksel," she said, squeezing his hand.

Da: "Lad os tage på opdagelse i palæet."
En: "Let's explore the palace."

En: Aksel looked up at Freja with big, curious eyes.

En: He loved spending time with her, especially at Christmas, which was always magical in København.

En: Inside, Freja struggled with the feeling of distance from Lucas.

En: But she decided to create a lovely day for Aksel and herself.

En: Inside the palace, there was an atmosphere of solemnity and beauty.

En: The Christmas decorations were magnificent; the crystal chandeliers sparkled, and the sound of soft Christmas carols filled the rooms.

Da: Freja kunne næsten glemme sine bekymringer.
En: Freja could almost forget her worries.

Da: Hun sørgede for at tage mange billeder, så hun kunne sende dem til Lucas.
En: She made sure to take many pictures so she could send them to Lucas.

En: As they walked through the enormous halls, her phone jingled in her pocket.

En: She saw Lucas' name light up on the screen.

Da: Halvt forlegen forlod hun Aksel et øjeblik for at tage opkaldet.
En: Half embarrassed, she left Aksel for a moment to take the call.

Da: "Freja!"
En: "Freja!"

Da: Lucas' stemme var fyldt med glæde.
En: Lucas' voice was filled with joy.

Da: "Jeg har en overraskelse til dig.
En: "I have a surprise for you.

Da: Jeg kommer til København for jul!
En: I'm coming to København for Christmas!

Da: Jeg har fundet en billet."
En: I found a ticket."

En: Freja was so overwhelmed with happiness that she could hardly find the right words.

Da: "Er det sandt?
En: "Is it true?

Da: Jeg kan næsten ikke tro det!"
En: I can hardly believe it!"

Da: "Ja," svarede Lucas.
En: "Yes," Lucas replied.

Da: "Jeg vil tilbringe ferien med dig.
En: "I want to spend the holidays with you.

Da: Vi skal have en fantastisk jul sammen."
En: We're going to have a fantastic Christmas together."

En: Freja smiled broadly and looked over at Aksel, who eagerly turned toward her.

En: She knew this would strengthen their Christmas and his admiration.

En: After she hung up, she ran back to Aksel.

Da: "Lucas kommer til jul," sagde hun, strålende.
En: "Lucas is coming for Christmas," she said, beaming.

Da: "Han vil fejre det med os."
En: "He wants to celebrate it with us."

En: Aksel cheered and grabbed her hand, happy for his sister's sake.

En: In this way, it became a special day where Freja both strengthened the bond with her little brother and found new hope in her love for Lucas.

En: She realized how important it was to communicate, share experiences, and have faith that love could overcome distance.

En: Freja left Amalienborg with warmth in her heart, ready to welcome her family and boyfriend to the best Christmas ever.
