It: Era un pomeriggio caldo e soleggiato nella piccola città di Campagnano.
En: It was a warm, sunny afternoon in the small town of Campagnano.

It: Giovanni, Antonio e Francesca, tre amici inseparabili, si godevano la loro consueta siesta pomeridiana.
En: Giovanni, Antonio and Francesca, three inseparable friends, enjoyed their usual afternoon siesta.

It: Stesi sotto un albero secolare, avevano appena cominciato a lasciare che il sonno li trasportasse in un dolce riposo quando furono improvvisamente svegliati da un suono malizioso.
En: Stretched out under an ancient tree, they had just begun to let sleep transport them to sweet repose when they were suddenly awakened by a mischievous sound.
