Story Transcript:

En: Rosenborg Slotshave was filled with life on a beautiful spring day.

Da: Solen skinnede, og tulipanerne stod i fuldt flor.
En: The sun was shining, and the tulips were in full bloom.

En: Freja stepped into the garden with a mix of joy and nervousness.

En: She looked around and quickly found her family gathered on a blanket in the grass.

Da: Det var tid til påskefrokost.
En: It was time for an Easter lunch.

En: Freja sat down next to Kirsten, who was in the process of cutting a piece of open-faced sandwich.

En: "It's been a long time since we've seen you, Freja," said Kirsten with a smile.

Da: Freja nikkede, men hendes hjerte hamrede.
En: Freja nodded, but her heart was pounding.

Da: Hun vidste, at hun snart skulle fortælle dem noget vigtigt.
En: She knew she would soon have to tell them something important.

En: Lars, Freja's cousin, lifted a plate of delicacies.

En: "How wonderful it is that we can be together today," he said, looking around.

En: The sun's rays danced between the treetops, and a gentle breeze gave the garden a faint scent of flowers.

Da: Freja ønskede, at øjeblikket kunne vare evigt.
En: Freja wished the moment could last forever.

En: She listened to her parents' and siblings' stories while the children ran around and played among the trees.

En: But there was a fear shadowing all her thoughts.

Da: Hendes jobtilbud i udlandet.
En: Her job offer abroad.

Da: Halles latter fyldte luften, men Frejas indre uro voksede.
En: Halle's laughter filled the air, but Freja's inner turmoil grew.

Da: Hvordan ville de reagere?
En: How would they react?

Da: Ville de blive skuffede?
En: Would they be disappointed?

Da: Eller måske, ville de forstå?
En: Or perhaps, would they understand?

En: As they packed up the lunch, Lars suddenly asked, "So, Freja?

Da: Hvad er dine fremtidsplaner?"
En: What are your future plans?"

Da: Freja stoppede med at samle glas ind.
En: Freja stopped collecting glasses.

Da: Alle kiggede nu på hende.
En: Everyone was now looking at her.

Da: Hun mærkede en klump i maven.
En: She felt a lump in her stomach.

En: I've received a job offer," she started cautiously.

Da: "Det er i udlandet."
En: "It's abroad."

En: Silence spread as the wind again played with the leaves around them.

En: Kirsten placed a hand on Freja's shoulder.

Da: "Fortæl os mere," sagde hun blidt.
En: "Tell us more," she said gently.

En: Freja's voice grew stronger as she described the opportunity.

En: Working there would be a dream, but a dream away from them.

Da: Til hendes overraskelse begyndte de at smile og nikke.
En: To her surprise, they began to smile and nod.

En: Although they would miss her, they encouraged her to pursue her dreams.

En: "We are proud of you, Freja," said Lars with a twinkle in his eye.

En: Freja felt a relief and warmth she hadn't expected.

En: Honesty had opened a door she feared would shut her out.

En: Rosenborg Slotshave continued to bustle with life, and Freja knew that wherever she traveled, her family's love would always be with her.
