Da: Emil stod ved skranken i biblioteket.
En: Emil stood at the counter in the library.

Da: Hylderne var fyldt med gamle bøger.
En: The shelves were filled with old books.

Da: Han var glad for historie, men bøgerne blev efterhånden en rutine.
En: He loved history, but the books had gradually become routine.

Da: Hans ven Lars kom ofte forbi.
En: His friend Lars often stopped by.

Da: En dag sagde Lars: "Emil, du bør gå ud mere.
En: One day, Lars said, "Emil, you should go out more.

Da: Se noget nyt."
En: See something new."

Da: Det var påske.
En: It was Easter.

Da: Byen var fuld af liv.
En: The city was full of life.

Da: Blomsterne i parkerne sprang ud i farverige tulipaner.
En: The flowers in the parks burst into colorful tulips.

Da: "Hvorfor ikke tage til Rundetårn?"
En: "Why not go to Rundetårn?"

Da: foreslog Lars.
