Da: Det var snart jul i København, og Nyhavn var fuld af liv.
En: It was almost Christmas in København, and Nyhavn was full of life.

Da: De farverige huse lyste op langs kanalen, og små både gyngede i takt med vinden.
En: The colorful houses lit up along the canal, and small boats swayed with the wind.

Da: I midten af dette juleeventyr stod Søren ved sin families boder.
En: In the middle of this Christmas fairytale stood Søren at his family's stalls.

Da: Han var spændt, men også nervøs.
En: He was excited but also nervous.

Da: Det var første gang, han stod for boden alene.
