Ja: 京都の冬は美しい。
En: Winter in Kyoto is beautiful.

Ja: 静かな寺院が白い雪で覆われている。
En: The quiet temples are covered in white snow.

Ja: ハルとはアイコと一緒にこの美しい日に寺院を訪れた。新年の初詣のためだ。
En: Haruto visited the temples with Aiko on this beautiful day for the New Year's first shrine visit.

Ja: アイコは明るく元気だ。
En: Aiko is bright and cheerful.

Ja: 「家族の伝統は大切だよ。新しい年の始まりにお参りするのはいいことだ。」と彼女は言う。
En: "Family traditions are important. It's a good thing to visit the shrine at the start of a new year," she says.

Ja: 彼女の笑顔は、冬の冷たい風の中でも温かい。

En: "It's okay, Haruto. We are family, so let's think about it together." Her words lighten Haruto's heart a little.

Ja: 二人は参拝し、その後ゆっくりと寺院の庭を歩いた。
