Story Transcript:

It: Su un treno sfrecciante attraverso la campagna italiana, con le montagne che sorgono all'orizzonte, due amici stavano chiacchierando.
En: On a speeding train through the Italian countryside, with mountains rising on the horizon, two friends were chatting.

It: Il loro nome?
En: Their names?

It: Sofia e Luca.
En: Sofia and Luca.

It: Il loro destino?
En: Their destination?

En: The most classic of Italian cities: Rome, the Eternal City.

En: Upon arriving in Rome, their faces were shining with excitement.

En: They walked through the cobblestone streets, amidst historic buildings and dancing fountains.

It: Mangiavano gelato accanto all'acqua di gorgoglio, l'odore del cibo italiano nell'aria, l'eco delle risate e delle conversazioni riempiva i loro cuori di gioia.
En: They ate gelato next to gurgling water, the smell of Italian food in the air, the echoes of laughter and conversations filling their hearts with joy.

En: "Let's ask for directions to the Colosseum," Luca said, with a big smile.

It: Ma Roma, sapevano, era famosa per le sue strade confuse.
En: But Rome, they knew, was famous for its confusing streets.

En: So, they asked for help from an elderly man sitting on a bench.

It: Ecco arrivare il problema.
En: Here comes the problem.

En: The man, with a mouth full of gold teeth and his crooked hat, spoke quickly.

En: Sofia and Luca's eyes widened as they tried to follow his directions.

It: "Gira a destra, poi a sinistra, poi dritto, poi di nuovo a destra," disse, con grande energia.
En: "Turn right, then left, then straight, then right again," he said, with great energy.

En: But Rome, a stunning maze of history and culture, was not so easy to navigate.

It: Sofia e Luca si persero.
En: Sofia and Luca got lost.

En: They walked in circles for hours, passing the same cafe over and over again.

It: Ma non demorsero.
En: But they didn't give up.

En: They kept searching for their goal: the Colosseum.

En: In the end, as the sun was setting, they reached their goal.

It: Victoria!

En: The Colosseum, imposing and majestic, stood before them.

It: L'arancione del tramonto brillava sulle sue antiche pietre.
En: The orange of the sunset shone on its ancient stones.

En: Sofia and Luca smiled, their adventure in the unknown resolved.

En: That evening, in front of a steaming pizza, they laughed about their day.

It: Sì, si erano persi.
En: Yes, they had gotten lost.

En: But they had also experienced an adventure, had laughed, had discovered more about Rome.

En: And, in the end, it was all part of the journey.

En: That night, as they fell asleep in their beds, the sound of Roman mopeds in their ears, they knew that the trip to Rome was a journey they would never forget.

En: And all thanks to an old talkative local and his confusing directions.

En: Because sometimes, getting lost is not a problem, it's a discovery.

It: E Roma era la città perfetta per scoprire.
En: And Rome was the perfect city to discover.
