Story Transcript:

Da: Under en klar vinteraften hang stjernerne højt over Tivoli Gardens i København.
En: On a clear winter evening, the stars hung high above Tivoli Gardens in København.

En: Snowflakes settled like a soft blanket on the ground, while thousands of small lights twinkled like diamonds among the snow-covered trees.

En: Mikkel walked through the park, pulling his coat tighter around him.

En: He had heard the strange rumor about the mirror in the spejlhuset.

En: Freja and Søren accompanied him, even though they had different opinions on the matter.

En: Mikkel was the one who suggested they investigate the mirror.

En: It could be a dangerous task, but his curiosity had to be satisfied.

Da: "Tror I virkelig på det her?"
En: "Do you really believe in this?"

Da: spurgte Freja skeptisk.
En: asked Freja skeptically.

Da: "Et spejl, der viser noget andet hver nat?
En: "A mirror that shows something different every night?

Da: Det lyder som en dårlig spøg."
En: It sounds like a bad joke."

En: Søren, on the other hand, saw it as an opportunity.

Da: "Tænk, hvis det er ægte?
En: "Think if it's real?

En: Think about what we can discover about the past," he said with a glow in his eyes.

Da: De nåede frem til spejlhuset.
En: They arrived at the spejlhuset.

Da: Inde i den dunkle labyrint ventede spejlet.
En: Inside the dim labyrinth awaited the mirror.

Da: Det glimtede faretruende i lyset fra de omkringliggende lamper.
En: It gleamed menacingly in the light of the surrounding lamps.

En: A breeze seemed to come from it, even though the place was entirely enclosed.

En: "I can feel something special in here," said Søren with a serious expression.

En: "It's as if someone or something is trapped."

Da: Freja rystede på hovedet, men hun gik alligevel tættere på spejlet.
En: Freja shook her head but still moved closer to the mirror.

Da: Mikkel observerede dem begge, vidende at denne nat havde en helt særlig stemning.
En: Mikkel observed them both, knowing that this night had a very special atmosphere.

Da: Pludselig skiftede spejlet.
En: Suddenly, the mirror changed.

En: Where there was once a clear image of their reflected faces, there was now only emptiness where Freja's reflection should be.

Da: De rykkede sig alle væk, men Mikkels nysgerrighed blev styrket endnu mere.
En: They all stepped back, but Mikkel's curiosity was only further strengthened.

En: "We must find out what happened," said Mikkel decisively.

En: What if an old tragedy was waiting to be resolved?

En: Mikkel began to understand that this mystery stretched deeper than the surface.

Da: De tre besluttede sig for at arbejde sammen.
En: The three decided to work together.

En: Mikkel searched for clues, Freja noted everything down to form a clear picture, and Søren tried to connect the mysterious forces with something he had read.

En: Finally, after several hours of intense investigation, they discovered an old newspaper article hidden behind the mirror.

En: The article told of a young girl who had been trapped in the spejlhuset and never came out again.

Da: Hendes navn var også Freja.
En: Her name was also Freja.

Da: "Det her er ikke muligt," sagde Freja stille, da hun læste navnet.
En: "This is not possible," said Freja quietly as she read the name.

En: "Maybe there is more between heaven and earth."

En: With the help of an old prism they found by one of the mirrors, they solved the riddle and restored the missing reflection.

En: The moment their Freja's face returned in the mirror, the uneasy atmosphere vanished, and a warm peace filled the room.

En: Tivoli Gardens returned to its magical normality.

En: Mikkel learned to trust his curiosity and appreciate the beauty of adventure.

En: Freja became open to the unknown, and Søren gained a deeper insight into what lies behind the visible.

En: It was clear: something much greater had touched them all.

En: In the cold winter darkness, under the glittering lights, the three friends found something that would change their view of the world forever.

En: The old mirror in Tivoli Gardens would never be the same again.
