Story Transcript:

En: Kasper stood at the edge of a flowering field.

En: It was summer, and the air was filled with the scent of freshly cut hay.

En: He was in the countryside, far from the stress of the city.

Da: Men inde i ham var der uro.
En: But inside, he felt uneasy.

En: A tiny creature had left a red mark on his arm, and now he was growing fearful of Lyme disease.

Da: Freja arbejdede i en lille station i nærheden.
En: Freja worked at a small station nearby.

Da: Hun havde altid elsket naturen.
En: She had always loved nature.

En: As a biologist, she studied the wildlife here in the countryside, as part of her work for the university.

En: Kasper and Freja had known each other for a long time, from those long nights with books during their studies.

En: Kasper walked down the path toward Freja’s station.

Da: Grus knasede under hans fødder, og himlen begyndte at samle tunge, mørke skyer.
En: Gravel crunched under his feet, and the sky began to gather heavy, dark clouds.

Da: Det så ud til storm.
En: A storm seemed to be brewing.

En: Freja greeted him with a friendly smile.

Da: "Hej, Kasper!
En: "Hi, Kasper!

Da: Hvordan går det?"
En: How’s it going?"

Da: Kasper tøvede, hans frygt tydelig i hans øjne.
En: Kasper hesitated, his fear evident in his eyes.

Da: "Freja, jeg har fået et bid, og nu er der en rød cirkel på min arm."
En: "Freja, I got bitten, and now there's a red circle on my arm."

Da: Hans stemme skælvede lidt.
En: His voice trembled slightly.

Da: "Tror du, det er alvorligt?"
En: "Do you think it’s serious?"

Da: Freja kiggede koncentreret på hans arm.
En: Freja looked intently at his arm.

En: She was familiar with nature’s many faces but wasn’t a doctor.

Da: Alligevel kunne hun se, at Kasper havde brug for hjælp.
En: Still, she could see that Kasper needed help.

Da: "Det ser ud som noget, du bør tage seriøst," sagde hun roligt, mens vinden tog til udenfor.
En: "It looks like something you should take seriously," she said calmly as the wind picked up outside.

En: "I don’t know if I should go to the doctor.

En: "If it were me, I would go," Freja said as lightning split the sky.

Da: "Kom, vi tager sammen afsted.
En: "Come on, we’ll go together.

Da: Du behøver ikke gå alene."
En: You don’t have to go alone."

En: Kasper looked gratefully at his old friend.

Da: Frejas ord gav ham mod.
En: Freja's words gave him courage.

En: It was not just the woods and fields, but her calm presence that eased his fears.

En: They set off toward the city, as the wind strengthened and rain began to drum on the car’s roof.

En: With Freja by his side, the journey felt less daunting.

Da: Da de nåede hospitalet, indså Kasper, at helbredet altid burde komme først.
En: When they reached the hospital, Kasper realized that health should always come first.

Da: Han takkede Freja.
En: He thanked Freja.

Da: Hun havde guidet ham, ikke kun gennem sommerens vilde natur, men også gennem usikkerhedens storme.
En: She had guided him not only through the wild nature of summer but also through the storms of uncertainty.

En: For Kasper, it was a valuable lesson: sometimes seeking professional help is necessary.

En: And sometimes, it's not being alone, but having a true friend, that makes all the difference.
