En: It was a warm summer day in the picturesque Danish countryside.

En: The school was close to a field filled with wildflowers, and the sky was clear and blue.

En: It was time for the last day of the school year, and the children were gathered for a festive event.

En: Søren sat alone under a large oak tree, thinking about the day's poetry reading.

En: He was a quiet boy who loved books and the small details of nature.

Da: Men i dag ønskede han at gøre noget, han aldrig havde gjort før – at deltage i poesioplæsningen foran hele skolen.
En: But today, he wanted to do something he had never done before—participate in the poetry reading in front of the whole school.

En: He wanted to win and show that he could do something special too.

En: On the other side of the schoolyard, the children were playing ball, and Katrine was at the center.

En: She was popular, full of energy, and the leader of their class.

En: Søren watched her with a mix of admiration and doubt.

En: He felt invisible in the shadow of her charm.

En: He considered withdrawing from the competition.

En: But something inside him said he shouldn't give up so easily.

Da: Han besluttede at spørge Katrine til råds.
En: He decided to ask Katrine for advice.

En: Maybe she could help with his nerves.

En: After a quick ball game, Katrine sat down next to him.

Da: "Hej Søren, hvad tænker du på?"
En: "Hi Søren, what are you thinking about?"

Da: spurgte hun med et smil.
En: she asked with a smile.

En: Søren cleared his throat and told her about his fear of speaking in front of everyone.

Da: Han var usikker, men Katrine lyttede tålmodigt.
En: He was uncertain, but Katrine listened patiently.

Da: "Katrine, hvordan bliver du så selvsikker?"
En: "Katrine, how do you become so confident?"

En: Katrine thought for a moment and replied, "You just have to believe in yourself.

Da: Selvom du er nervøs, så lad din passion for dine ord skinne igennem.
En: Even if you're nervous, let your passion for your words shine through.

Da: Vi tror på dig."
En: We believe in you."

Da: Søren følte sig lidt styrket.
En: Søren felt a bit more empowered.

En: Katrine helped him practice and gave him advice on speaking slowly and clearly.

En: Her support meant a lot to him, and he began to believe he could do it.

Da: Da tiden kom, stod Søren på scenen.
En: When the time came, Søren stood on stage.

En: The sun shone through the windows, and all eyes were on him.

Da: Hans hænder rystede lidt, men han huskede Katrines ord.
En: His hands shook a little, but he remembered Katrine's words.

En: He took a deep breath and started his reading.

Da: Ordene flød.
En: The words flowed.

Da: Søren talte fra hjertet, og hans passion for poesien kom frem i hans stemme.
En: Søren spoke from the heart, and his passion for poetry came through in his voice.

Da: Publikum lyttede opmærksomt, fanget af hans ord.
En: The audience listened intently, captivated by his words.

En: When he finished, the silence was replaced by applause.

Da: Katrine sprang op og klappede højest.
En: Katrine jumped up and clapped the loudest.

Da: "Det var fantastisk, Søren!"
En: "That was fantastic, Søren!"

Da: råbte hun.
En: she shouted.

Da: Han smilede genert, men i hans øjne kunne man se en ny selvtillid.
En: He smiled shyly, but in his eyes was a new confidence.

Da: Denne oplevelse ændrede noget i Søren.
En: This experience changed something in Søren.

En: He realized that he could overcome his fears with determination and support from friends.
