Da: Tivoli i København var som et vintereventyr.
En: Tivoli i København was like a winter fairy tale.

Da: Sneen lå som et blødt tæppe over de snoede stier.
En: The snow lay like a soft blanket over the winding paths.

Da: Lysene i træerne glimtede som stjerner, og folk gik rundt med forventning i deres øjne.
En: The lights in the trees twinkled like stars, and people walked around with anticipation in their eyes.

Da: Det var tiden efter nytår, og Lars og Astrid havde en vigtig opgave.
En: It was the time after the New Year, and Lars and Astrid had an important task.
