Story Transcript:

Da: En sejler flådede tungt gennem havnen i København. Turister og lokale var samlet på kanalkanten. Pludseligt - plask!
En: A sailor floated heavily through the harbor in Copenhagen. Tourists and locals gathered along the canal. Suddenly - splash! The water splashed around a man, struggling with his bicycle deep in the dark water. He was clumsily red-faced. The man's name was Lars, a local and omnipresent figure in the streets of Copenhagen.

En: "Lars is at it again!" shouted an older woman from the crowd. People laughed. Lars clumsily pulled himself in through the water. But he finally retrieved his bicycle and swam to the edge.

Anna mærkede varmen i sit ansigt, da hun begyndte at grine.
En: Anna, a tourist from Holland, watched with wide, astonished eyes. She wasn't quite sure if this was normal for Danes or if it was just Lars being clumsy. Anna felt the warmth on her face as she began to laugh.

Hun gik rundt i byen, over broer, under gammer bygninger, tænkte på Lars.
En: The rest of the day hung over Copenhagen like a dream. Anna never forgot the man who cycled in the canal. She walked around the city, over bridges, under old buildings, thinking about Lars. From time to time, she heard people talking about him.

En: The next morning, Lars sat in the saddle of his bicycle again, dry as a bone, but he was worried. He hadn't forgotten the embarrassing moment and felt embarrassment every time he thought about it. After spending the whole day trying to forget, he decided to head towards the canal.

En: When Lars reached the canal, he found Anna sitting and gazing out over the water. He cycled towards her. He didn't quite know what to do or say, but eventually, he hopped off his bicycle and sat next to her. Oddly enough, he wasn't afraid of ending up in the water this time.

En: "You're the clumsy cyclist!" exclaimed Anna when she recognized him.

En: Lars blushed and said, "Yes, it's me. I'm Lars."

En: And that's how the rest of Lars' day went, filled with sunshine, laughter, and good conversation. Small waves splashed against the canal as the sun began to descend. They sat there, Lars and Anna, closer to someone than they had been in a long time.

En: Lars' bike ride in the canal became more than just a delightful tale among the locals; it also became the story of how he met Anna. A tale of a man colliding with a canal and ending up finding an unexpected friendship.

Ikke mere flovhed, kun stolthed over at have mødt Anna.
En: In the end, Lars didn't mind being known as the clumsy cyclist. Instead, the incident became a warm and funny memory for him. No more embarrassment, only pride in having met Anna.
