Da: Solen skinnede ned på gaderne i København.
En: The sun was shining down on the streets of Copenhagen.

Da: En kølig vind strøg gennem de smalle stræder, men Anders følte ikke kulden.
En: A cool breeze swept through the narrow alleys, but Anders didn't feel the cold.

Da: Han stirrede ned på kaffe koppen i sine hænder.
En: He stared down at the coffee cup in his hands.

Da: Den var fyldt til randen med rygende varm latte.
En: It was filled to the brim with steaming hot latte.

Da: Anders elskede at starte sin morgen sådan her.
En: Anders loved starting his mornings like this.

Da: Alone og stille.
En: Alone and quiet.

Da: På en trendy kaffebar, han ofte besøgte, kendt som 'Bean Me Up'.
En: At a trendy coffee bar he often visited, known as "Bean Me Up".

Da: Hans veninde Freja arbejdede her.
En: His friend Freja worked there.

Da: Hun var altid munter om morgenen, hvilket han aldrig forstod, men satte pris på.
En: She was always cheerful in the mornings, which he never understood but appreciated.

En: Freja's eyes widened in shock as she saw the vegetable.

Da: Det var en lang, grøn agurk.
En: It was a long, green cucumber.

Da: "Anders," grinte hun, "jeg tror ikke, vi accepterer agurker som betaling her".
En: "Anders," she laughed, "I don't think we accept cucumbers as payment here."

Da: Alle i baren brød ud i latter.
En: Everyone in the bar burst into laughter.

Da: Anders, bumlet, rødmet.
En: Anders, flustered, blushed.

Da: "Jeg ved, jeg er fra landet," indrømmede han, "men jeg troede stadig ikke, det kom til at påvirke mig sådan her i byen".
En: "I know I'm from the countryside," he admitted, "but I didn't think it would affect me like this in the city."

Da: Dagen fortsatte med griner og drilleri.
En: The day continued with laughter and teasing.

Da: Men Anders blev ikke flov.
En: But Anders didn't feel embarrassed.

Da: Han beholdt sin sans for humor og grinede sammen med alle andre.
En: He maintained his sense of humor and laughed along with everyone else.

Da: Han forstod, at livet i byen var forskellige.
En: He understood that city life was different.

Da: Og at han ville have til at vænne sig til sin nye hverdag i København.
En: And that he would have to get used to his new everyday life in Copenhagen.

Da: Om eftermiddagen, da han forlod Bean Me Up, sagde Freja med et smil, "Du kan beholde agurken, Anders.
En: In the afternoon, as he left Bean Me Up, Freja said with a smile, "You can keep the cucumber, Anders.

Da: Og tak for grinet.
En: And thanks for the laugh."

Da: "Således endte Anders dagen med en gratis kop kaffe og en agurk i hånden.
En: And so, Anders ended the day with a free cup of coffee and a cucumber in his hand.

Da: Men han var ikke forvirret.
En: But he wasn't confused.

Da: Han var glad for at han havde løftet stemningen på Bean Me Up.
En: He was happy that he had lifted the mood at Bean Me Up.

Da: Og glad for, at hans morgen rutine blev meget mere interessant.
En: And happy that his morning routine had become much more interesting.

Da: I slutningen af dagen gik han hjem med et smil, der lyste op i de københavnske gader.
En: At the end of the day, he walked home with a smile that lit up the streets of Copenhagen.
