Story Transcript:

En: In the heart of Copenhagen, right next to the beautiful lakes, there lived a man named Lars.

En: Lars was a tall, strong man with a smile as big as the sun.

En: A smile he took very good care of.

Da: Alle i firmaet vidste det.
En: Everyone in the company knew it.

En: Every morning, right after his oatmeal, Lars took out a new, vibrant blue toothpaste and brushed his teeth.

En: Lars believed in the power of a clean smile.

Da: Denne morgen startede ikke anderledes.
En: This morning started no differently.

En: Lars' alarm rang, he made oatmeal, took out his toothbrush and bent down to squeeze out the toothpaste.

En: But instead of a small strip, the entire contents of the tube flew out and landed on Lars' toothbrush.

En: Lars, who was a bit absent-minded in the morning, didn't notice it, and soon his mouth was foaming with toothpaste.

En: Lars' colleague, Sofie, was waiting for him in the office with morning coffee.

Da: Med hendes brune hår spredt elegant over skuldrene og hendes bløde, venlige øjne, var hun angiveligt den mest venlige i virksomheden.
En: With her brown hair elegantly spread over her shoulders and her soft, friendly eyes, she was supposedly the kindest in the company.

Da: Så snart Lars trådte ind, fik hans forpinte grønne øjne hende til at trække på smilebåndet.
En: As soon as Lars stepped in, his troubled green eyes made her smirk.

En: She handed him a napkin as his mouth foamed over.

En: Despite this, Lars continued into the meeting room to present his presentation.

En: With every word, his mouth foamed more and more, until his entire shirt was covered in toothpaste.

Da: Chefen så knap nok tilfreds ud, og alle stirrede, men Lars fortsatte ufortrødent.
En: The boss hardly looked pleased, and everyone stared, but Lars carried on undeterred.

En: After the presentation, Sofie pulled Lars aside and helped him clean his shirt.

Da: Hun forsøgte at undertrykke et smil, da de begge fejede tandpastaen ned i skraldespanden.
En: She tried to suppress a smile as they both swept the toothpaste into the trash can.

En: Sofie reassured Lars by saying that everyone was so entertained that they didn't even notice the mistake in the presentation.

En: Lars was relieved and thanked Sofie for her kindness.

En: From then on, he started brushing his teeth in the bathroom with more attention.

En: Even a toothpaste mishap couldn't hide his shining smile, and his kindness created a joyful atmosphere throughout the rest of the company.

En: And in this way, despite a frothy day, life in the company continued with happiness and laughter.

En: We don't always pay attention to small mishaps, and sometimes this imperfection can actually make the day more colorful.

En: And the most important thing is that we always have friends around us, ready to help when we need it, just like Sofie did for Lars.

En: And so, the toothpaste became a bit of a legend in the office.

En: It became part of the internal folklore and incorporated into the moral that help is always timely, no matter how small or big the mistake may be.

En: And everyone in the company remembered the story of Lars, the man with the bright smile.
