Da: I hjertet af København, på en travl gade, lå et hyggeligt bageri.
En: In the heart of Copenhagen, on a busy street, there was a cozy bakery.

Da: Det var her, Lars kom hver dag.
En: It was here that Lars came every day.

Da: Lars var ikke fra Danmark.
En: Lars was not from Denmark.

Da: Han var en ivrig turist, der var vild med alt dansk.
En: He was an eager tourist who loved everything Danish.

Da: En dag gik Lars ind i bageriet.
En: One day, Lars walked into the bakery.

Da: Han kiggede rundt og så en udfordring.
En: He looked around and saw a challenge.

Da: "Rød grød med fløde," læste han fra menuen.
En: "Rød grød med fløde," he read from the menu.

Da: Han prøvede at udtale det, men det lød forkert.
En: He tried to pronounce it, but it sounded wrong.

Da: Alle lo.
En: Everyone laughed.

Da: "Næ, næ, ven," sagde bageren.
En: "No, no, friend," said the baker.

Da: "Du siger det ikke rigtigt.
En: "You're not saying it right."

Da: " Bageren var en venlig mand.
En: The baker was a friendly man.

Da: Han prøvede at lære Lars at sige det rigtigt.
En: He tried to teach Lars how to say it correctly.

Da: Dag efter dag kom Lars.
En: Day after day, Lars came.

Da: Han prøvede og prøvede.
En: He tried and tried.

Da: Alle grinede.
En: Everyone laughed.

En: Lars laughed too.

En: Everyone held their breath.

Da: Bageren smilte bredt.
En: The baker smiled widely.

Da: "Perfekt udtale, min ven!
En: "Perfect pronunciation, my friend!"

Da: " sagde han.
En: he said.

Da: Alle klappede.
En: Everyone applauded.

Da: Lars rødmede, men han var stolt.
En: Lars blushed, but he was proud.

Da: Han havde prøvet, og han havde klaret det.
En: He had tried, and he had succeeded.

Da: Fra den dag af, når Lars gik ind i bageriet, bestilte han altid det samme.
En: From that day on, when Lars walked into the bakery, he always ordered the same thing.

Da: "Rød grød med fløde!
En: "Rød grød med fløde!"

Da: " sagde han med et grin.
En: he said with a laugh.

Da: Og hver gang, grinede alle sammen med ham.
En: And every time, everyone laughed along with him.

Da: Det er en sjov ting med sprog.
En: It's a funny thing about language.

Da: Nogle gange kan det være svært.
En: Sometimes it can be difficult.

Da: Men med lidt hjælp, og masser af praksis, kan vi alle lære at sige "Rød grød med fløde.
En: But with a little help and lots of practice, we can all learn to say "Rød grød med fløde."

Da: "Dette bageri i København vil altid huske turisten, Lars.
En: This bakery in Copenhagen will always remember the tourist, Lars.

Da: Han, som viste dem, at det ikke er et nederlag at mislykkes.
En: He showed them that it's not a failure to fail.

Da: Det er kun en chance for at prøve igen.
En: It's just a chance to try again.

Da: Og at det altid er værd at tage den chance, især når det handler om rød grød med fløde.
En: And that it's always worth taking that chance, especially when it comes to rød grød med fløde.
