Story Transcript:

En: On a sunny day in the heart of Copenhagen, we find Lars.

Da: Lars er en ganske almindelig mand.
En: Lars is a rather ordinary man.

Da: Kedelig, ville nogen sige.
En: Some would say he's boring.

Da: Men det skulle snart ændre sig.
En: But that was about to change.

Da: Denne dag besluttede Lars sig for at gå en tur i Tivoli.
En: On this day, Lars decided to take a walk in Tivoli.

En: The smell of popcorn and the sound of children's laughter filled his ears.

Da: Han besluttede sig for at sidde lidt ned.
En: He decided to sit down for a while.

Da: Han var træt.
En: He was tired.

Da: Tæt på ham var der en tom bænk.
En: Nearby, there was an empty bench.

En: He walked over to it, but didn't realize that it wasn't a bench.

Da: Det var en rutsjebane.
En: It was a slide.

Da: Med et en stor "whoosh!"
En: With a loud "whoosh!"

En: Lars suddenly found himself going down the slide.

Da: Han skreg.
En: He screamed.

Da: Han grinede.
En: He laughed.

En: He was scared and happy at the same time.

Da: Folk omkring ham klappede og grinede.
En: People around him clapped and laughed.

En: It was the funniest thing they had seen all day.

Da: Lars fløj gennem luften.
En: Lars flew through the air.

En: He saw Tivoli from a new perspective.

En: He saw the concert hall, the Ferris wheel, the colorful gardens, and the many different food stalls selling everything from churros to sushi.

En: It was an exciting ride through Tivoli.

Da: En tur han aldrig ville glemme.
En: A ride he would never forget.

Da: Til sidst stoppede rutsjebanen.
En: Finally, the slide stopped.

En: Lars landed softly on a big air mattress.

Da: Han var overrasket.
En: He was surprised.

Da: Og meget glad.
En: And very happy.

En: For some reason, he didn't feel boring anymore.

En: He had just had an incredible ride through Tivoli.

Da: Noget, han aldrig ville glemme.
En: Something he would never forget.

En: So even though it was by accident, Lars had the best day in a long time.

Da: Han var glad.
En: He was happy.

En: He snapped a picture of the slide and sent it to his friend.

Da: "Se hvad jeg gjorde i dag!"
En: "Look what I did today!"

Da: Skrev han.
En: he wrote.

En: And so, Lars walked out of Tivoli with a smile and a great story to tell his friends and family.

En: He now knew that a day in Tivoli could bring lots of surprises.

En: And maybe he wasn't as boring as he thought.
