Story Transcript:

Ja: 東京の雑踏の中、一人の男が地図を見つめながら顔をしかめていました。男の名前は春樹。見慣れない街並み、繁華街のネオンに照らされる街角がどことなく異次元に映った。
En: In the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, a man frowned as he gazed at a map. The man's name was Haruki. The unfamiliar streets and the neon lights of the bustling district seemed somehow otherworldly.

Ja: 春樹は苦笑しながら、地図をたたんでポケットにしまいました。ちょぼけた判断力に自分でも驚きながら、まっすぐに但馬屋橋通りに出るべく前を進むことに決めた。すると、少し先で花をセールしている女性が目に入りました。彼女の髪は花びらのようにピンクに染まっており、その名も桜。
En: With a wry smile, Haruki folded up the map and put it in his pocket. Surprisingly, despite his absent-mindedness, he made up his mind to proceed straight ahead to Tamayashiki Bridge Street. Just then, he noticed a woman selling flowers a little ahead. Her hair was dyed pink like cherry blossoms, and her name was Sakura.

Ja: 「すみません、この通りをまっすぐ行ったら但馬屋橋通りに出ることはできますか？」春樹は桜に尋ねました。桜はしばらく考え、首をかしげて「でも、でも、その通りって、どの通りのことだろうね？」と、混乱した答えを返しました。
En: "Excuse me, if I go straight down this street, will I reach Tamayashiki Bridge Street?" Haruki asked Sakura. Sakura pondered for a moment, tilting her head, and replied with a confused answer, "But, but, which street is that street?"

Ja: この答えに春樹は困惑しましたが、意を決して桜に道案内を頼むことにしました。桜は自分の店を留守にし、春樹をあちこち案内しましたが、結局、始めの通りに戻って来てしまいました。
En: Haruki was perplexed by this answer, but he gathered his courage and decided to ask Sakura for directions. Sakura left her shop unattended and guided Haruki here and there, but they ended up back on the original street.

Ja: その一部始終を見ていたゆきという女性は、その滑稽なさまに思わず噴き出してしまいました。「あなたたち、ちょっとそれ見て」と隣にいる友達に言いながら、足を止め笑いを堪えていました。
En: Watching the whole affair unfold, a woman named Yuki burst out laughing without thinking. "You guys, look at this," she said to her friend next to her, stopping her steps and trying to contain her laughter.

Ja: 春樹はゆきの笑い声に気づき、桜と一緒に振り向きました。三人の視線が交わり、突然、笑い声が鳴り響きました。道に迷った春樹、春樹を案内した桜、その一部始終を見て笑ったゆき。この出会いは予期せぬものではあったものの、それぞれはこの瞬間に何か違った光景を見つけていました。
En: Haruki noticed Yuki's laughter and turned around with Sakura. The three gazes met, and suddenly, laughter echoed. Haruki, who got lost, Sakura, who guided him, and Yuki, who laughed at the whole ordeal. This encounter was unexpected, but each of them found a different scene in this moment.

Ja: そして、春樹の東京での道に迷いの一日は、桜とゆきとの出会いとともに彩りを増していきました。最終的にはこの日の出来事が、それぞれの人生に新たなページをもたらすことになるのですが、それはまた別の物語である。
En: And so, Haruki's day of wandering in Tokyo was colored by his encounter with Sakura and Yuki. Eventually, the events of this day would bring a new chapter to each of their lives, but that is a story for another time.
