Story Transcript:

Da: Solen skinnede klart over Rosenborg Slotshave.
En: The sun shone brightly over Rosenborg Slotshave.

En: It was midsummer, and Astrid, Lukas, and Freja walked through the lush gardens.

En: The grass was green, the flowers gleamed in many colors, and bees buzzed everywhere.

En: Astrid, an eager high school student with dreams of becoming an archaeologist, had a plan.

Da: Planen var at finde en tidskapsel.
En: The plan was to find a time capsule.

En: There were rumors that their great-grandfather had hidden it somewhere in the garden.

En: Astrid loved stories of the old days, and the thought of finding a treasure-like capsule filled her with excitement.

Da: Men der var et problem.
En: But there was a problem.

En: Lukas, her little brother, would rather play soccer, and their cousin, Freja, was not sure about this wild chase.

Da: Astrid vidste, hun måtte finde på noget.
En: Astrid knew she had to come up with something.

En: "Do you know why we don't explore first?

En: Maybe we'll find an ancient artifact from our ancestors," she said.

Da: Hun vidste, at Freja med hendes kreative natur kunne blive interesseret.
En: She knew that Freja, with her creative nature, might become interested.

Da: Freja skubbede sine briller op på næsen.
En: Freja pushed her glasses up on her nose.

Da: "Et gammelt artefakt?"
En: "An ancient artifact?"

Da: spurgte hun nysgerrigt.
En: she asked curiously.

En: "And if we don't find anything, then we play soccer afterward?"

Da: Astrid tænkte et øjeblik.
En: Astrid thought for a moment.

Da: "Okay, Lukas.
En: "Okay, Lukas.

Da: Hvad med en lille udfordring?
En: How about a little challenge?

En: If I win, we look for the time capsule.

Da: Hvis du vinder, spiller vi fodbold," sagde hun.
En: If you win, we play soccer," she said.

Da: De besluttede at kaste en pind længst muligt.
En: They decided to throw a stick as far as possible.

En: Astrid threw with all her might and won.

En: Lukas shrugged and reluctantly followed along.

En: They walked towards a large old tree that looked like the perfect hiding spot.

Da: Freja bemærkede noget usædvanligt ved roden.
En: Freja noticed something unusual by the root.

Da: "Vent, hvad er det?"
En: "Wait, what is that?"

En: she asked, crouching down.

Da: I træets hulrum lå en gammel mappe.
En: In the tree's cavity lay an old folder.

En: Astrid opened it with her heart pounding with excitement.

En: Inside, they found a drawing and notes written by their grandfather.

En: It wasn't a time capsule, but a treasure chest full of their family history.

En: As they looked at the folder, Astrid felt a strong connection to her past.

Da: Hendes familiehistorie blev levende.
En: Her family history came alive.

En: Lukas looked at the drawings with delight and realized that history might not be so boring after all.

En: Freja, with a smile, no longer felt shy.

En: They ended the day sitting in the grass, sharing stories and dreaming about the future.

En: Each of them carried with them a new understanding of what truly matters: The shared moments and the stories that bind them together.
