In this episode we are joined by the amazing Kimberly Didrikson who is the CEO and Founder of Learning Motherhood. Learning Motherhood is a consulting agency and online community platform built to create a culture around the importance of humanizing the workplace by supporting organizations and the direct needs of individual working parents. In the U.S unfortunately new parents do not have the support from employers that is needed when a baby is born and it's a topic near and dear to us that quite frankly is infuriating. We want to talk about it and we have to ask for what we think is fair for new parents everywhere.

Life is full of ups and downs, and becoming a parent does not exempt you from going through hard times. The question is, how do we talk to our children about difficult topics or hardships that we are going through? Can they handle difficult news? In this episode we discuss how we have handled having to give our children bad news and how our parents handled it when we were little. We also share the "sandwich method" and why we think it's important to talk to our children even if it is to give them bad news.

Chriselle is away this week, so Sara shares why she felt uneasy when she found out she was having a boy. Traditionally, boys are raised to be tough, domineering and unemotional. Clearly, this hasn’t served them or the people they care about. As modern parents, we have an opportunity to wholly raise our boys and help change this harmful stereotype.   How do we combat toxic masculinity and raise empathetic, nurturing, strong boys? Sara grapples with this question and shares how having a son transformed her views and her heart when it comes to boys.    Also, we asked you-What has been the greatest challenge about raising boys and what has surprised you the most about having a son? You answered and we share your very inspiring responses!

I think we have all at some point either heard or used the term "good girl." In this episode we go into depth with what that term means and how we feel about it and how our parents used the term in our upbringing. Both as mothers of girls we discuss if we want our daughters to consider themselves "good girls" or if we are making a new generation of "good girls."
