Story Transcript:

He: נמל יפו היה מלא חיים.
En: Namal Yafo was full of life.

He: אנשים הסתובבו בין חנויות השוקקות והתבוננו בדוכנים עמוסים בפירות וירקות טריים.
En: People wandered among the bustling shops and glanced at the stands laden with fresh fruits and vegetables.

He: ריח הים המלוח נישא באוויר, והיה חום קיץ כבד.
En: The salty sea air wafted through the air, and there was a heavy summer heat.

He: נועה ואלי עמדו ליד הרציף, בוחנים את הים הכחול שמעבר.
En: Noa and Eli stood by the pier, gazing at the blue sea beyond.

He: נועה הייתה שקטה ומתוחה.
En: @Noa was quiet and tense.

He: היא איבדה מישהו יקר לאחרונה, וכבר כמה ימים הרגישה שהעולם כולו על כתפיה.
En: She had recently lost someone dear and had been feeling for days that the whole world was on her shoulders.

He: היא ידעה שהיום הוא תשעה באב, יום של זיכרון ואבל, וזה גרם לה לחשוב עוד יותר על האובדן שלה.
En: She knew today was the ninth of Av, a day of remembrance and mourning, and it made her think even more about her loss.

He: "נעלה על הסירה?" שאל אלי, מחייך אליה בניסיון לעודד.
En: "Shall we get on the boat?" Eli asked, smiling at her in an attempt to encourage her.

He: הוא היה תמיד חיובי, מלא אנרגיה, ורצה לעזור לה לשכוח לכמה שעות את המצוקות שלה.
En: He was always positive, full of energy, and wanted to help her forget her troubles for a few hours.

En: @Noa nodded, unsure if she wanted company or silence.

En: They boarded the boat, and Eli helped her sit comfortably.

En: "Noa," he said quietly, "I'm here for you if you want to talk."

He: נועה הסתכלה עליו, חושבת.
En: @Noa looked at him, thinking.

En: She wanted to keep her silence, her thoughts to herself.

En: But something in the depth of Eli's eyes made her feel safe.

En: Finally, she chose to speak.
