He: על חווה שקטה בצפון, השלג היה מכסה את האדמה הלבנה והקרה.
En: On a quiet farm in the north, the snow covered the white and cold ground.

He: הבית היה מואר באור חמים מבפנים, והחנוכייה שבחלון הפיצה אור מנחם ומעודד.
En: The house was lit with a warm light from inside, and the Hanukiah in the window cast a comforting and encouraging glow.

He: אבי היה בחור אחראי וחרוץ.
En: Avi was a responsible and hardworking young man.

He: החווה הזו הייתה כל עולמו, אבל עכשיו הייתה לו משימה נוספת וחשובה לא פחות - לאחד את המשפחה לקראת פגישת המשפחה בחנוכה.
