He: בבית הספר התיכון, בין הגימנסיה לבין המגרש המקורה, התקיים היום יום הצבעה חגיגי.
En: At the high school, between the Gimnasia and the covered field, a festive voting day was held today.
He: אנשים עמדו בתור, מעילים עבים מקופלים על ידיהם ונשימותיהם חמות באוויר הקר של חורף.
En: People stood in line, thick coats folded over their arms, and their breaths warm in the cold winter air.
He: היה זה ערב חנוכה ושמחת החג הייתה באוויר, אבל בבוקר הזה כולם היו רציניים, ממוקדים בתפקידם האזרחי.
En: It was the eve of Chanukah, and the joy of the holiday was in the air, but this morning everyone was serious, focused on their civic duty.
He: תמר עמדה בתור, מחכה לתורה להיכנס לתא הצבעה.
En: Tamar stood in line, waiting for her turn to enter the voting booth.
He: היא הייתה נרגשת ועדיין קצת מודאגת.
En: She was excited and still a little worried.
He: היום היא רצתה להצביע ולהרגיש שהשפיעה.
En: Today, she wanted to vote and feel that she had made an impact.
He: כשהגיעה תורה, נכנסה לתא, לבה הולם בחזה.
En: When her turn came, she entered the booth, her heart pounding in her chest.
He: פתאום, המכונה בתא שלה התחילה לחרוק ולהפיק קולות מצחיקים: "ביפ" ו"בופ".
En: Suddenly, the machine in her booth began to creak and make funny noises: "beep" and "bop."
He: תמר חייכה בנבוכה.
En: Tamar smiled awkwardly.
He: כל התור שמע את הרעש ולא יכל להתעלם.
En: The entire line heard the noise and couldn't ignore it.
He: תמר ניסתה להבין מה לעשות – היא לא רצתה לעשות סצנה, אך גם לא הצליחה לגרום למכונה לפעול כראוי.
En: Tamar tried to figure out what to do – she didn't want to make a scene, but also couldn't get the machine to work properly.
He: בינתיים, אנשים התחילו להציץ פנימה, מחייכים.
En: Meanwhile, people started peeking in, smiling.
He: תמר נשמה עמוק.
En: Tamar took a deep breath.
He: האם היא צריכה לבקש עזרה?
En: Should she ask for help?
He: זה יכול להיות מביך, אבל גם חייב להיפתר.
En: It could be embarrassing, but it also needed to be solved.
He: היא התכופפה וניסתה שוב, ללא הצלחה.
En: She bent down and tried again, without success.

En: Finally, when she felt she had no choice, she gently raised her hand and called for assistance.

En: A technical assistant approached her with a smile and started checking the machine.

En: Tamar came out of the booth with a light laugh, and Oren and Miriam, who were standing behind her in line, approached to congratulate her with a smile.
He: "זהו, סיימת עם דרמה וצלחה את הדרך," אמר אורן בנימה מחויכת.
En: "That's it, you've finished with drama and got through it," said Oren with a cheerful tone.
He: לחנוכה יש דרך להפתיע.
En: Chanukah has a way of surprising.

En: Sometimes the best way is simply to laugh and move on.
