Story Transcript:

He: אלי וסריי עמדו ביער האמזונס, עיניהם פעורות מהיופי שסביבם.
En: Eli וSari stood in the Amazon rainforest, their eyes wide with the beauty surrounding them.

He: עצים גבוהים מאוד הקיפו אותם, והשתקפות אור השמש ציירה צללים על פני האדמה.
En: Very tall trees enveloped them, and the reflection of the sunlight painted shadows on the ground.

He: סביבם נשמעו קולות ציפורים ורשרוש העלים, כאילו היער זמזם בסוד ישן.
En: Around them, the sounds of birds and the rustling of leaves were heard, as if the forest hummed with an ancient secret.

He: המסע הזה היה חלק מטיול בית ספרי.
En: This journey was part of a school trip.

He: בעוד חבריהם לכיתה היו עסוקים בלצחוק ולדבר על דברים אחרים, אלי חשק בליבו לפנות לכולם ולספר להם על כמה ההיער הזה חשוב לעולם.
En: While their classmates were busy laughing and talking about other things, Eli longed to turn to everyone and tell them how important this forest is to the world.

He: אבל הוא חשש שיצחקו עליו.
En: But he feared they would laugh at him.

He: "סם, את רואה את הציפור הזו שם?
En: "Sari, do you see that bird over there?"

He: " אלי לחש לעבר סריי, בעיניים מבריקות מהתרגשות.
En: Eli whispered towards Sari, his eyes shining with excitement.

He: "היא נדירה מאוד!
En: "It’s very rare!"

He: " "מעניין," סריי ענתה, מתאמצת לראות את הציפור בין העלים.
En: "Interesting," Sari replied, straining to see the bird between the leaves.

He: הם הלכו קצת יותר רחוק מהקבוצה, והגיעו לפינה מכוסה בפרחים מרהיבים.
En: They walked a bit further from the group and arrived at a corner covered with spectacular flowers.

He: אחד מהם קרא לאלי בקול, והוא הוביל את סריי לעברו.
En: One of them called out to Eli loudly, and he led Sari towards it.

He: זו הייתה סחלב נדיר, יופיו לא מהעולם הזה.
En: It was a rare orchid, its beauty out of this world.

He: "זו סחלב שמעולם לא ראיתי," הוא אמר בביטחון שלא הכיר בעצמו, רואה את עיניה המאירות של סריי.
En: "This is an orchid I've never seen before," he said with a confidence he never knew he had, seeing Sari's eyes shining.

En: Just then, the rest of the group arrived and were astonished by the discovery.

He: המורה ניגש והביט בסחלב בעיניים מופתעות.
En: The teacher approached and looked at the orchid with surprised eyes.

He: "אלי, זו תגלית מדהימה!
En: "Eli, this is an amazing discovery!"

He: " הכריז בפנים מוארות.
En: he announced with a beaming face.

He: "תוכל לספר לכולנו על זה?
En: "Could you tell us all about it?"

He: "אלי חייך, לראשונה חש את הביטחון במעשיו.
En: Eli smiled, for the first time feeling confidence in his actions.

He: הוא החל להסביר למעמדו החדש על הצמח המיוחד ועל תפקידו בלשמור על המערכת האקולוגית.
En: He began to explain to his newfound audience about the special plant and its role in sustaining the ecosystem.

He: חברי הכיתה הקשיבו בקפידה, פיהם מעט פתוח מהתפעלות.
En: The classmates listened intently, their mouths slightly open in awe.

He: אחר כך חזרו כולם יחד בזכות אלי שהראה אותם את הדרכים הנכונות.
En: Afterwards, they all returned together, thanks to Eli showing them the right paths.

He: כולם חוו את המקום אחרת עכשיו, מתוך עניין וקסם.
En: Everyone experienced the place differently now, with interest and wonder.
